Spring Chicken

monday

monday
works cited: spotted moth dress; necklace and bcbg sweater gifts from my former roommate; steve madden boots

With spring around the corner, I've been able to take my bare knees out for a spin a couple times this week, which has felt lovely. The warmth has definitely been a panacea for midterm deadlines, grading, and other grad school ailments of the to-do-list variety. Somehow everything feels more do-able when the sun is shining outside. Viva la springtime!

I am so happy about the weather, too! I love early spring. :)

That sweater and dress go together perfectly. At first, I thought it was one piece.

That dress is adorable. I love long sweaters over a knee-length dress!

I love the color combo of cream and gray. It's so classic and feminine.

Good luck with the midterms crunch.

Awww...love this outfit. The sweater and lace trim make for such a delicate look, but I bet it's still really comfy! Yay for bare knees!

I just feel like you should be walking around the outdoor market in Notting Hill in this outfit. Which might be the highest compliment I can give. Loverly.

Love, love, love the necklace and the whole outfit! You do look rather spring-y. I've been following your for awhile, rarely commenting. But, I wanted to thank you - you've helped me become a little more daring in my outfit choices. Today I'm wearing black and brown together (NEVER would have done that six months ago) and I actually think it works :).

I love these cozy layers! I cannot wait til I too can show a little knee- though its about to start snowign again here in Colorado and March is usually the chilliest month of all. A girl can dream though!
Hope you're having a great day!

ps. your closet doesn't look too vanilla from what I am seeing!

Wow, you look stunning! Seriously. (I just finished writing a blog post about stuffed squash, and I almost typed "you look stuffing!" Whoops! Perhaps you would have forgiven me for the typo.)

I love those colors---I've always felt like I'm not able to pull off that taupe-y beige. It's so classy, though. :)

it's hard to fathom of a time when my knees can be bare without risking frostbite, but I know it will come ;)

lovely! you really hit the mark with this outfit. everything matches wonderfully and while the colour pallet is quite pale, i think that really makes it look quite sophisticated and put together and cozy at the same time. beautiful!
