Not that I am ever slow to leave the house, but sometimes when Christopher is really ready to go and is tired of watching me hem and haw in front of my closet, he pulls out the big guns: "That definitely looks like something Lauren would sketch." He knows that however ambivalent I feel about what I'm wearing, the thought of Lauren's midas-touch is alluring enough to get me to grab my books and leave the house even if in retrospect I wonder if there's something not quite right about the proportions. Like, why does my head look so abnormally large? Must be all those nights in the library really bulking up my cranium...

SO cute! I love your blog, and I've really enjoyed watching you play more and more with color. It's made me realize I don't pair all my colors that well haha.
P.s. love your Instagram, I think I fall in love with DC a little everyday!
That coat is AMAZING!
Tania, your skirt is really cute. I love its color.
Christopher is a genius.

I have a skirt very similar in material and length that I was stumped how I could wear in colder weather. I like how you paired it with the jacket...I will have to try this. Thanks for the idea!
Haha! That is hilarious. I love Lauren's blog! And I seriously love your jacket! You look darling.
See Me Rwar
I love that romantic little skirt, such a pretty pop of girlishness and color.

@laura--yeah, it's not really the kind of skirt that screams "winter!" but i am trying to play with it anyway. definitely looking forward to breaking it out more come spring.
I really like how you put together your look--it seems very fun and bright for the bleary winter times. And, you know, your head looks very proportional.
Those tights...love them!!! Pretty skirt too!
love the skirt! the shirt and jacket look really cute with it!

lol. Guys always get ready faster than girls. They just don't have much to play with. Your skirt is beautiful.

loving the skirt!
tres chic! great colors.
Laughed out loud at "why does my head look so large?" BECAUSE IT DOESN'T. I am Team Christopher on this one.. ;)
When my mom wants me to stop being indecisive about buying something she tells me that I "look like Audrey Hepburn in that!" It normally gets the job done.
Loving those tights and boots. I wish there was something my boyfriend could say to hurry me up in the morning. No such luck though.
The bow is precious, and the proportions are perfect!
Oh, I love the color of that skirt! (and your head does not look large!)
XOXO, Lindsey
Love everything about that skirt - the colour and style are great! :)

Wow. This J Crew jacket looks great. It fits perfectly. And I like how it has a sort of blazer like look to it :)
I love the color of the skirt with those tights! Great outfit!
supercute chic :)

I LOVE that skirt! Especially with the stripes!
Great combo. :) Looks lovely.
The skirt against the stripes is so striking! I love the way this entire outfit looks chic and casual...

LOVE your expression in the first photo. You look absolutely stunning!
Hahaha! Well said, Christopher.
My boyfriend tries to assist with the closet-picking and expedites the process by simply exasperating choices.
hmmm... not "large"...but maybe a little "ovoid" due to the side part, the tilt, and the shadow over your forehead. But the blue gray tint of the whole picture (is that the light? photo-shop? my monitor?)is nice in a wintery morning sort of way.
I admire your ability to pull of spring colored skirts + tights -- for some reason I am never able to achieve that look and just miss all my summer skirts during the winter.
