This is another outfit masterminded by Lauren, which I wore yesterday while trying to ignore a fever that kept creeping upwards in order to meet some deadlines and have coffee with Amy and S. You know what they say, denial is the best medicine. Denial, and copious amounts of zinc, green tea, orange juice, vitamin C tablets, hot showers, and over-the-phone dramatic recitations of "Sneezles" by your mother.

I'm a bike-riding bookworm in DC trying to make better use of a sometimes-vanilla closet. You can read a little more about this blog

Love that skirt...mind if I ask what size you have and what size you'd normally wear? I'd normally get a medium, but it's out of stock and it looks rather high waisted, which on me normally means I could go for a small. Thanks! Love the outfit!

You look comfy and cute! I'm digging those wedges. :)
I totally can AND will recreate this!
hi lindsey--it does fit at the waist but runs very small. i normally take a small and the medium fits perfectly. you might also email ruche to ask what the waist size is on the small vs. large.

@chandra--hilarious coincidence, because christopher did the exact same thing when they were sitting in the bedroom. he goes "are your shoes really made by MLA?"

gorgeous skirt, tania, love it with the striped tee. hope you can ward off the cold!
How is it fair that I am in summer & you are in winter & we both have colds??? To answer your prevous question, my best remedy is lots of tea & vegimite (rich in vitamin B) on toast. Hope you feel better soon though ...

Thanks for the feedback Tania! It's a great skirt! Perfect for DC!
Whoa. I love this blog! Your sense of style is kickin', and its all making me very nostalgic for my student days. Although the word cited is giving me painful flashbacks to paper-writing fiascos - Do I use a semicolon to divide the name from the author? What if the publisher's location isn't listed? Why oh why can't I cite Wikipedia when it's taught me EVERYTHING I know?
wesothrify--hahaha, i'm with you! how many times i've wanted to throw my chicago manual of style out the window....
I love that skirt Tania! My daughter was looking over my shoulder and said "she looks fabulous"! I agree! Hope you feel better!
