"Red pants again?" Christopher said dubiously when I came out of the bedroom this morning. Yes, Christopher, red pants again. These have such high lycra content they are basically red pajamas and secretly it is my goal to feel like I am wearing pajamas while still looking presentable. To non sequitor: are long sweaters still cool? Last fall it felt like no wardrobe was complete without one, but this fall I feel suddenly perplexed about how I am supposed to wear them. I hope long sweaters are still cool. And if not, that's okay. I'm kind of obsessed with them lately -- they're so comfy for work.
I sure hope they are! Because I plan on rocking my long sweaters all winter long! It really is the perfect sit in the library and cram for test accessory!

They'd better still be cool! I live in mine - they're kinda my uniform: skinny jeans, colorful shirt, long cardigan, boots.
If that formula goes out of style, I'm toast.

I agree - I've got those pants too and I have a feeling they will be a wardrobe staple this fall.
And i'm pretty sure long sweaters are still cool. I'll still be wearing them anyway!
I can never seem to figure out what to wear long cardigans with. I think this is pretty cute actually! I think I need more not pajama pants in my wardrobe.
Just wore mine yesterday!! I think my husband had the same reaction. I love long sweaters =) I hope they didn't go out of style.

I love your red pants! I have a pair myself. I think they are the most enjoyable part of my closet even though I don't wear them that often. I just love their color. And, hey, Christopher shouldn't be down on the "power pants."
Two other things:
1. I enjoy your boots. I had to get rid of my brown pair after last winter because of the number of holes in them. :(
2. I really really like your shirt. I'm sure I can find something similar to thrift.
3. Your hair is very sleek.
4. I think I may get a library card today, as I have relocated.
5. I can't count worth a crap.

Just wore the same sweater with my red jeans last week. My boss told me I was the most stylish person in the office. Granted that's like being called the skinniest person at far camp, but I took it.

If long sweaters are no longer cool, I don't have anything to wear! But I understand your puzzlement--I think it's part of the seasonal confusion of switching to warm clothes. Layering always feels a bit funny until I get used to the shapes again.
And have we seen your hair in a high ponytail before? I don't think so--high buns, yes. Anyway, it looks fabulous. Polished and effortless and fun.

I hope long sweaters are still cool! Cause I have about a billion of them and they are my go-to when I'm feeling lazy.
I'm all for pajama-esque pants. In fact, I'm wearing some today. I'm pretty sure you could call these leggings, but they have pockets and a zipper, so that makes them pants, right??

Oh, I wish I was wearing stretchy jeans like that today. I need to buy five more pairs so I can wear them every day.
I think we all need more pants that are pajamas in disguise. I think that's why I wear leggings so often - there like yoga pants but dressed up.
