We finally made it home from Thanksgiving travels this evening, after being bumped from our flight in Atlanta yesterday night (free flight vouchers, come to mama!). I have to admit that DC feels even more like home after being away. The weather was balmy tonight, so Christopher and I dropped off our bags, changed our clothes, and wandered around Adams Morgan for several hours. Our empty fridge and "small business Saturday" gave us two good excuses to try the new pizza place on 18th. As it turns out, Mellow Mushroom is a small franchise so I'm not really sure it counts for small business Saturday, but since when did a girl need an excuse for Saturday night pizza, anyway?

I'm a bike-riding bookworm in DC trying to make better use of a sometimes-vanilla closet. You can read a little more about this blog

Ok, I love Mellow Mushroom. They started only building in southern college towns and a I guess are branching out to places that have winter :)

If it makes you feel better I believe that Mellow Mushroom is owned and run by two neighborhood women.
That is a fantastic, fantastic outfit. The colors! And the texture of the lace and the texture of the scarf are a nice combo.

A lot of people hate flying through ATL, but it's worth it during the holidays ;)
Love the lace.
Love the chunky scarf!!! Nice texture pairing too.
I've just found your blog and I'm totally loving it. And this outfit is just perfect. I love the peek of the dress under the cardigan. I'm following now on Bloglovin' and can't wait to read more. If you get a chance stop by my blog some time and say hi (and follow back if you're interested).

You guys have to try Comet Ping Pong for a crazy pizza experience. I wrote a travel piece last year about "foodie" vacation destinations, and they were at the top of my list for the DC area.
Love this outfit, also. Never thought someone could look so cozy with bare legs, haha!
This looks so cozy and deliciously warm. I wish that was on me right now.
