Second Time's the Charm

second time's the charm

second time's the charm

second time's the charm
works cited: thrifted sweater; UO jeans; target boots; f21 necklace; breda watch; uneasy feelings about this outfit's level of big box brands: medium-high

I actually wore this exact outfit last week but didn't get a snap of it, so I tried again this week because I liked the color combo so much. I used to have a great pair of red pants in college, though sadly I shrunk out of them once I stopped eating dorm food and I was red-pants-less for about five years. So after I bought these this summer, I've been on a red-pants-binge and have been wearing them with just about everything. I really like the refreshing shock of color in my mostly navy/gray/black/brown closet. It seems like everyone and her mother has a pair of red jeans these days--I personally love getting to mooch inspiration from lots of different people on the street and on blogs styling the same item, though I know some people tire of an endless parade of red pants :) Are you a red pants lover or hater?

I am a red-pants lover, however I am currently red-pants-less myself. It's fun to have that pop of color but still wear it as a staple.

I like red pants but I can't ever seem to locate a pair that actually suits me. I fear the trend may not be for me. But it looks awesome on you!

I love red pants but haven't gotten any yet... I'm assuming as soon as I buy and wear them that I will get laughed at (with pointing), so I'll leave it to others to wear the trend well!

Lover! I bought my red pants several months back and they are honestly one of the most remixed pieces in my wardrobe. I was actually surprised by their versatility. I love your color combination here. Glad you gave it another shot!

I'm a lover; I just wish that I looked as good with them on and figure out how to pair them with my existing closet. I've tried several times and not loving the outcome with what I already have. I'm finding new inspiration like this everyday so I'm going to keep trying or try the thrift store again.

I love the red pants. I just have such a hard time finding colorful cords that fit well. There are some Loft ones that I hope to try next.

i like how red pants look on others, but i don't think they'd look good on me. maybe i should try them!

I absolutely love the combination of the red pants with the dark red sweater - so cool!
Still looking for my own (affordable) pair of red pants, though.

I love seeing red pants on other people, but I never think they look good on me. Red clothes just don't seem to go with red hair.

Loving the color combinations in this outfit! It's always nice to get inspiration from other people because it helps to be able to come up with different combinations that you may not have thought of before.
As for the red pants on me, I'm not sure. But on you, they look awesome!

I am a hardcore lover of the red pant. I have been dying for a pair and found a pair super reduced this past weekend and have already rocked them two times this week. My boyfriend is not a fan of my latest purchase but my love for them obviously outweighs his protests. Love the color combo and your blog!

Loving the color combo! And re: you're reds pants question: I love all of the red pants I see on bloggy friends like you, but I don't particularly care for them on me. But if I did, I would definitely snag myself a pair like these!

I'm a red pants fan, and I really like this outfit of yours. I just bought a pair of red pants, but they are totally different than most of the ones I've been seeing around and about in blogland. They're smooth, cotton twill flares in a dark dried-blood sort of red. Very fallish and not very casual.

oh, how I would love some red pants! I love the burgundy sweater with them!

I really like your colorblocking here. I'm not sure if red pants are for me, but they look great on you. And I repeat outfits that didn't get blogged all the time - I think of church as a test drive for my work week outfits :)

I personally think red pants, especially in a slightly more subtle shade like the ones you have, are a great way to make a statement and add a pop of color. I'd love a pair, but I don't exactly think they'd suit my pretty curvy figure.

I've been dying for some red jeans but I haven't had the funds/heart to buy them from UO.

Love the pants! You look great in color!

I love my red pants, but I'm not brave enough to wear them to high school (since I am the teacher and all)! BTW, I showed you some love on yesterday's Hems for Her!

Definitely a lover, although I refrained from buying any for myself! When I went to UO to look for some colored jeans I fell in love with a blue stretchy pair and they. are. awesome. Blue, red...loving the colored pants trend!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my red pants, but I haven't been brave enough to wear them! Until today! You inspired me to not be afraid and I'm pretty pleased with the results....
