Puddle Jumper

Even though I love the rain, this weather is really putting a cramp in my ability to take pictures. The dark rainclouds mess with the camera exposure, and I keep forgetting my umbrella, and I don't want the camera to get wet, and Christopher mopes if I make him stand in the rain taking photographs of my clothes (I can't imagine why...). Today we found a covered alcove with a serendipitously-matching maroon door and red brick (that architect sure had an eye for color-blocking) and got a few shots so I can move on with a clean conscience to the lovely parts of a rainy day: working, a cup of tea, and a good view of the puddles outside.

This outfit contains 2 things I've been lusting after: a thick knit cowl & hunter boots.
Adorable!

Doesn't Chris know the unspoken creed of blogger boyfriends? Weather shalt not interfere with thy responsibilities of photographing thy love? LOL jk. I love your ruffled cardigan and this scarf is splendid! Enjoy your tea and hope your work goes well!

That's a pretty great little picture-taking nook, though! Way to work around the rain.

Your cowl is adorable! I don't blame your husband. I'm cranky if I have to be in the rain.

Love the cowl and color! I'm in the process of making one on my own, but am the slowest knitter in the world so it probably won't be done for another 3 winters :)

Love the cowl, though I don't know that I would give it much use right now if the So Cal weather keeps up in the '90's like it is this week.....uggh.....I'm a little jealous of your rain!

I love the cowl! I don't understand what's wrong with Christopher's attitude on taking pictures in the rain either. After all, it's just water ;P

I have a feeling if I saw you in a coffee shop wearing this outfit, you would start to feel really uncomfortable at the way I kept staring at you. I can't blame my imaginary self in this scenario, though - it's just such a happy, pretty, pinky, cozy outfit!
