Bleary-Eyed

bleary eyed

bleary eyed
works cited: madewell jeans and sweater; target tee; danskos; thrifted belt; awesome nobletown vintage earrings impossible to see in photos

The cooler weather has arrived and with it, my allergies. I'm so puffy-faced and bleary-eyed today that I look like I've been on a several-day crying jag. As a grad student, this provides me the convenient opportunity to perform my work/suffering by claiming that I stayed up all night working, in the manner of Benjamin Franklin leaving his lights on so the neighbors should think he worked later than they did. Let's hope my sniffling doesn't give me away.
P.S. This outfit inspired by this image of black and white stripes + rust color. Incidentally, her entire blog is just as rad as that photo.

I really love this color combination! Those jeans fit you like a dream, they're making me consider investing in a pair. Hope your allergies clear up and you feel better soon! Have a great weekend :)

loving the colors in this outfit and curious: what kind of madewell jeans are these? i just purchased the widelegger (on sale -- woohoo!), and i'm wondering if that's what you're wearing. if so, i can already tell: they're going to be some of my new favorites! :)

Sorry to hear about your allergies, my eyes get super puffy with them to and it's so frustrating! Good news is that you look totally cute in these pictures with that perfect fall outfit!

The pumpkin/dark orange is such a great color on you. These jeans are fabulous as well.

Love the striped tee! I think that's a t-shirt that looks great with a bunch of colors!

Hmm. Well I trust you, but I can't tell you were sick at all! You are making me more and more convinced to keep growing my hair out though!

I feel your pain! My face is so puffy and my eyes are bloodshot and throbbing. No outfit pictures for me today! Haha. You look great, though!

Hey, I am with you on the allergies. We had a bit of rain, which helped to bring the pollen to a medium amount. However, it is going to be back up by Monday.
Cute outfit!

I love how classic this outfit is without being "stuffy"! Something I will keep in mind when the weather cools off here!

My allergies are kicking in too, and it seems my long-time-use of my current allergy pills has finally made me immune to their uses and I'm still all stuffed up and sniffly. I feel your pain!

Every time you wear those jeans, I'm more and more convinced that they are the PERFECT pair of denim. Just fabulous.

I hope the allergies lighten up soon!

I must be craving fall because I'm OBSESSED over orange/brown/red rust colors right now. Thus, the Orchard Hill Waist Tie Jacket beckons to me!

I hope you are feeling on the mend! I JUST blogged about my fighting a sinus infection. Evil evil evil. But we shall be sustained by comfort in literature and fashion. ;-D
