Lazy Grays

lazy grays
works cited: dress c/o five bamboo; UO belt and necklace; target flats

Three observations:
1.  I found this photo yesterday, fell in love, and realized delightedly that this $59 five bamboo dress is a crazy good match for (and looks just as good as) that woman's couture dress.
2. I just love a simple outfit (to put self-deprecation aside for a moment, I think a simple dress or a tee and jeans is the most beautiful sometimes).
3. After seeing these photos, I realize that I need a haircut. Scratch that--I needed a haircut a month ago. I'm starting to look like Cousin It.

Lovely outfit. Did you have a red bag to match? And is this the same driveway with the "no entry" sign or something like that, which has been cropped out :)

And my first thought was, "WOW, Tania's hair has gotten so long and gorgeous!" But, if you need a hair guy in DC, I have the best best best for you to go to (and he does student discounts on Mondays!).

The outfit is so polished and chic. Just lovely.

Hi Tania,
I just moved to the DC area, like you, and I blog for the online clothing shop ShopKempt (blog.shopkempt.com, if you wanna check it out). i'm going to Fashion's Night Out in Georgetown on Sept 8 and just wanted to let you know about it, if you're interested! A lot of the shops are having food, sales and gifts in honor of fashion week. I'm definitely going and would love to meet up. I have an MFA in poetry and it sounds like we have a lot of the same interests! email me at carrie.shopkempt@gmail.com.

Great outfit, as usual.

Cousin It my butt. I think your hair looks healthy and gorgeous! As does the chic outfit, as usual. I love that you keep proving that style is DEFINITELY attainable on a budget.

You definitely don't look like cousin it! And I love the dress. May have to track down an identical one myself. Hope you don't mind matching!

Lovely outfit! On the note of hair, I have a question to all the grad school fashionistas out there: I'm transitioning from grad school to "real job" soon and am wondering whether I should chop my grad school mane to look more professional and potentially a bit "older" so people might take me more seriously and I look like a woman rather than a girl. What do you think?

This might be my favorite outfit since I started reading you. LOve it!

ooh so flattering. and it looks so comfy! as for your hair, i think it's gorgeous, but if you wanna change it up a bit, you should get long layers or something to give it more body. maybe that'd help you feel a little less like cousin it?

ina--hm, it depends what kind of job you get and what you like! i love the way young women especially can wear their hair long (in and out of the office) whether or not they have a serious job, and i don't think long hair makes a person look girlish.
if you want to keep long hair, you can always twist it back or into a bun.

jessica--wow, thank you!!

Before I read this post I was thinking, "Her hair is so beautiful, I want mine to look just like that!"

You look gorgeous! And I think you are miles away from being Cousin It!

I think your hair looks great! I recently chopped mine off and find myself being very envious of anyone with long tresses now. And that dress was a great find - I would love to pair it with a blazer and wear it for teaching this term.

as a fellow dc-area blogger, i thought you may be interested in joining DC FABB, a group of other DC fashion on beauty bloggers. we have the occasional meetup, but other than that, the group is really low-key. feel free to check it out: http://dcfabb.wordpress.com

Awww, I love your hair. Although, I'm probably biased... mine is even longer... and not even NEARLY nice looking. I have like 8 inches of horror near the ends of my hair that just... fluffs out all the time. Now I, dear lady, look like Cousin It.

Very beautiful and flattering. City chic, even!

I agree, this dress is just as good as the couture dress, and looks like it's about a million times more comfortable. Win-win. This dress is so simple and chic, and it looks great on you!

You look positively smashing here! That dress is just perfect on you. And I have to say, you have gorgeous healthy hair! I'm sure you'd be happy with a new styled cut, but just so you know, you have such lovely hair to work with either way! :)

I think this dress looks most stunning on you! And by the way, I love the long hair, don't cut it!
