I made this skirt myself last summer, and have gotten a lot of wear out of it since then. Find the pattern to make your own
here (it's ludicrously easy; I can't sew a thing and I can sew it). It's been an easy way to add color to my summer wardrobe in the one color of which I am actually not afraid.

This is probably my favorite item in what-I-know-of your closet. Hope you and C. are settling in well!
You make me wish I had a sewing machine (and could use it) so badly! One of my favorite colors on you, and yes, it looks perfect with all the stripes!
Super cute! My next sewing project is to re-work a yellow dress. It's a delightful color.
I love the "How Do I Wear Thee" posts. I've made myself start visualizing 3 different outfits before I buy something.
I've loved this skirt the few times of seen you wear it and had no idea you made it yourself! It's a great color and you've found lots of great ways to wear it.
such a classy color! and most of us are too scared to wear it, so props to you for having the hutzpah to pull it off over and over again :)
I think it's great that you like to wear yellow as a dirty blonde- I've heard too many fashion rules against that. Way to go!
I love the multi pic format. great ideas about how to style the same piece. you look great. StyleForLife>> http://trista-beard.blogspot.com/
This is such a great pattern, and the colour you've made it up in is gorgeous. I do love a bit of mustard! I'll be trying this myself come the weekend :). x
I wear the heck out of the green floral skirt that I DIY'd. I'm totally going to copy this post. :)

Mustard is such a great wardrobe staple. I love it when you pair it with those striped shirts!
Complex Cardigans
See, if I picked this skirt up, I would immediately think the color isn't versatile, but you've proved that to be completely wrong! I love all the ways you've worn it, but I like it paired with stripes best. (Of course.)

Yes, I agree, this skirt looks great with stripes, but I like it with the floral top too!
I've already bought the material I need to make a skirt using your tutorial. Once classes are over this week I am going to give it a shot! I love this mustard color though. I chose a coralish shade for my skirt.
Looks like you love to combine it with stripey shirts :) Awesome skirt, so cool that you made it yourself, the colour is dazzling! Note to self: learn how to sew! ...
All of these looks are great - such a lovely skirt. I especially love it with the striped top, another great piece. I could totally see this skirt on you with a black top, tights and boots as the weather changes.
love your skirt, very versatile
have a wonderful day

The mustard skirt with the blue-green shirt in the bottom row is an excellent color combo!!!
santina--i know! it was kind of a lucky guess at the fabric store...one of those random colors that turns out to be way more wearable than you thought.
yeah, i know i have a stripes problem! i'm trying to branch out :)
i love these "how do i wear thee" posts! they've really encouraged me to be a bit more creative in how i put outfits together. and the color of that skirt is just so great.
Like it! please do Fall/Winter combinations if you can.
Thanks for sharing :D
