How Do I Wear Thee: Black and White Stripes

While we're moving in (and sans internet), I've scheduled a couple of these "how do I wear thee" posts just to keep things alive around here. Unlike Elaine, I don't have a good way of organizing how I've worn the same piece before, but occassionally I'll get questions about how else to wear a certain piece. First up is black and white stripes (this is for you, Celynne). At first I felt stuck about how to wear these, but then I just paired it with anything else nearby--navy blue, green, mustard yellow--and found that they seemed to go together fine.

Any other ideas/preferences/suggestions for how to wear a black and white stripe?

No ideas or suggestions, but I love what you've done with the stripes and colors!

Super cute as ever! What about wearing it with a contrasting and subtle pattern, like a small-patterned floral scarf or black paisley tights?

I love black and white stripes. It's my go to look. I wear mine with a black blazer and jeans or solid color pencil skirt.

I wear my b & w tshirt with jeans or a black skirt, but looking at your photos, I'm beginning to see that b & w goes very well with other colours too.

Haha, awesome. Seeing all these stripey outfits together certainly helps me see the versatility here... Perhaps I shall go stripe-hunting on my next thrift shopping outing.

I love black and white stripes! By far my favorite print. I like your last look the best. Very chic!

I like to pair them with other patterns, if I'm feeling frisky. Stripes + florals is always fun. And I've seen some bloggers do stripes on top, with wider stripes on bottom and I love that look too.

I love my black/white stripe tee! I also wear mine under my black blazer and it pairs nicely with a floral skirt.

All very cute, but I second the stripes with patterns idea!

i like everyone's idea of wearing them with maybe a little floral pattern. that'd be cute.

anddd i think my favorite looks of how you've done it are with the blue skirt, tights and brown boots and then the tucked in with wide leg jeans and sweater and blogger bun look. cutie patootie :)

I would wear black and white with red and let it play off of the stripes. You should wear black skinny pants with this striped top and add some red flats for a pop of color.

Love what you have done with the stripes, particularly the mustard skirt. I like to see something simple like the stripes paired with a pop of color. The only thing I could suggest is up the brightness with some other rich colors like a plum or turquoise.
Love your boots as well. Like the mixing of the black with brown accessories, too...should I just keep complimenting you or should i just end it now...

Stripes are so hard to match and you have done it several times. Particularly inspired by the brightly colored skirts. Genius! Saludos desde Argentina.

I LOVE the last pic with the bun/glasses/cardi/belt/pants. So cute.
