See You Next Year, 4th of July

happy holiday hangover

happy holiday hangover
works cited: target dress, volcom sandals

This weekend, between some pretty epic sessions grading on my laptop, I did get out of the house for a little fun--an afternoon trip to the pool; a so-bad-it's-good movie at the drive-in theater; playing with sparklers and eating homemade red, white, and blue popsicles on the porch. I wasn't in the mood to fuss with my clothing and it's been fairly warm, so a cotton dress and flat leather sandals felt just right.

P.S. It was such a riot reading and talking with you other grad students/academics/neurotics on Friday's post. I kept cracking up and wishing we could have a virtual study date together. Nerds unite!

Oh gosh Tania, you look as cute as button with your hair like that! Going to try this hair style, but perhaps when I'm not on campus. Sounds like you had a lovely 4th of July. I was working on my PhD ... booo.

That's such a cute dress! Definitely looks comfy.

And we should totally all have a virtual study date. It's getting easier all the time, with the interwebs and all. :D

Cute as a button! I didn't feel much like messing with clothes this weekend, either. Thank god my latest 30 for 30 was over so it didn't matter. Ha ha.

Okay, where do I start with the compliments. You look so gamine and bright and healthy. Love the simple dress in that faded bottle blue- it's retro and sweet paired with your long legs :-) And the braid and child-like blush are simply stunning.

LOVE!

You are just too adorable - I love that dress and the way you did your hair! I also saw a so-bad-it's-good movie on the fourth [Transformers, anyone?] Glad someone else did that!

Oh, I've been wanting to play with sparklers and some long exposure shots forever and managed to not do that yesterday...oh well.

Love the dress and that close up pic of you, you're just so pretty!

You look so cute Tania! Love the hair!

P.S- I was so neurotic/nerdy that I was IN the lab on Friday evening. One of those days when my "merciless grad student voice" spoke way louder than my "fun Mel" voice. Didn't even get to read your cute post till Today.
P.P.S- I think a virtual study date is a wonderful idea! And my "fun Mel" voice agrees! ;)

That dress is so cute! I'm still so surprised when I see such cute things are from Target...I remember back in the day when it was hardly more chic than Walmart!
