(sorry for the very blogger-y head down pose, but I had to get a shot of the scarf, tied just like liz from say yes to hoboken)

In the midwest, it seems to go from wintery (45 degrees) to summery (85 degrees) in a matter of days, so my time in Maine has been fun to experiment with some spring clothes that otherwise haven't seen the light of day, especially this jacket from Goodwill that I wasn't sure if I liked (now I'm sure I like it). On a nerdier front, I bought a couple shirts (two for me and one for Christopher) from out of print a few months ago. I liked the shirts and the company's mission--they send books to communities in need for every shirt that's purchased--so I wrote them asking if they'd like to work together because I thought "what better fit for a grad student style blog than nerdy book tee shirts?". Now we are affiliates (hooray!), which means if you link from here or their good-lookin' sidebar ad and decide to buy a shirt, I get a small commission. I am pretty excited about working with them, so I hope this is okay with you all, too.
P.S. If you do like the shirts, the ladies' tees run a size small, so order up :)

I love this look on you! It looks comfy and casual but it shows off your figure in a really flattering way.
I saw some Out of Print shirts at a local boutique last week, but they didn't have any of the books that I wanted, so I may buy one online. I can't decide between 1984 (my birth year!), Origin of Species (I'm a biologist), or Slaughterhouse-5 (just awesome). Ooh, or maybe To Kill a Mockingbird... okay, this is gonna be hard on my grad student budget.
Ohmygosh, who doesn't need book t-shirts? Heading to their site now, credit card at the ready...
Welcome to New England where, if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes. Lots of chances to wear all your clothes in one day!
Loving the Maine pics - the outfits are cute!
Totally fine with me ... now To Kill a Mocking Bird or Pride & Prejudice ... decisions, decisions.

You look like you belong in a Nicholas Sparks book. :)
Oh man. Add those shirts to my never-ending list of things I would splurge on if I only had the money.
I love these shirts! I will definitely be heading over there as soon as my 30-for-30 is up:)

Great ensemble and I think it's absolutely perfect that you're working with Books on Shirts.

Love Out Of Print, I bought one of their shirts after the first time you mentioned them! I've now worn my To Kill A Mockingbird shirt almost weekly (just make sure I don't see the same people on those days), although I agree with them running small--I sized up to a medium and it fits perfectly.
You look like a well read girl in that tee. And I always do the head down pose, maybe my head is heavy?

I love your candor about the commission and how you phrased it. I loved the shirts before, but now I'm definitely going to get one.
Totally adorable! I've been hankering for an Out of Print tee myself...
This outfit is so cute! I have never seen these Out of Print shirts before, but I am definitely going to have to get one. I'm thinking either Fahrenheit 451 or Catcher in the Rye :)

I SO want one of Out Of Print's iPhone cases. But I like them all! If only I had 7 iPhones . . .
I love Out of Print, too! I have three of their shirts and I may have to purchase more (thru your link, of course!).
I also love, love this casual look on you. The jacket is awesome and it's super cool w the fitted jeans.

Your waist looks so teeny tiny in this post! And I loove the head scarf, makes me want to try it out myself!
This is such a cute outfit :) I just found your blog through The Daybook and I really like it! Can't wait to see more.
