Pleats and Thank You

works cited: thrifted skirt; forever 21 top; vintage coach belt from mom; clarks wedges

Green with envy at Megan's eerie ability to find vintage pleated silk skirts wherever she goes, I was triumphant to stumble upon this pleated skirt at the thrift store a few weeks ago (never mind that it is definitely not silk and way more 80's than vintage). It's such a fun pattern and reminded me a little of something you might find at anthropologie (of course, without the anthro price tag). Hopefully it will also put a little pep in my step for meetings and a bunch of work on my dissertation.
P.S. I am loving Simply Bike's post about creating an outdoor office. I'm half-tempted to ditch my study for the day and head to the nearest shady tree.

I've found a ton of cute pleated skirts but none that are above the knee. I'm so jealous of this skirt!

You should definitely wear more brighter colors! This skirt is awesome and I like how 80's it is! Love it!

Do it! Hop on that cute Peugeot of yours and go study outside! :)

That skirt is a very Anthro-inspired find indeed, I love it when I find faux Anthro pieces at thrift stores.

Excellent vintage skirt. I also brought a vintage pleat skirt a while back, but it's a 3/4 length & I just don't think it's me at that length ... *sigh*

Good luck with meeting and thesis work. I find meetings to be way more distracting than they should be.

The pattern on that skirt is absolutely fantastic. And hey, technically anything over 20 years is vintage, so if it is 80s, it is vintage! Although, that means I am vintage too since I was made in the 80s, and at almost 26 I am not really sure how I feel about that.

Anyways, outfit is fantastic. It looks so comfortable and laid back, but still fun and spunky!

Because of all the amazing skirts you have I have been inspired to thrift a lot more skirts. Just yesterday I picked up 10 of them!
