Almost Baryshnikov

P1040860

P1040855

P1040845
works cited: target tank; skirt c/o spotted moth; necklace from macy's; gap flats

These flats look almost exactly like ballet slippers I had when I was a little girl. Unfortunately, I have not gotten any more graceful than I was as a clumsy 8 year-old, accidentally pirouetting into the wall. Graceful I was not, but I think my interest in full skirts and bows (and shoes that went "click clack") was auspicious, as I still find myself drawn to them as the weather gets warmer. Who knows? I may be only a few outfits away from wearing a tutu in public.

I heart ballet flats so much. Sometimes I feel a little unfashionable wearing them, but they are comfty & cute ...

Maya has those same Gap ballet flats, except in mint green. I, too, was reminded of my childhood ballet shoes by the pink ones.

You should check out Alice and Daisy's feature on ballet style.

LOVE this outfit. Also love how when you wear a tank in public you look like a ballerina, and when I wear a tank in public I look like a redneck. Hah.

It feels like this outfit should be boring but you make it cute. Love little ballet pumps!

The spotted moth skirt is so pretty! I think you should definitely rock the tutu look ala Carrie Bradshaw! Imagine all the looks you would get from the people on the street!

This outfit is cuter than cute.

Also, would you be willing to come help me make another decision? This time I'm looking at outdoor rugs . . . and I didn't buy all the options this time. : P

I did ballet when I was a child as well - I can't say it was my forte!

However, you look beautiful in your ballet shoes.

I once pirouetted my way through a glass table. That was fun. Not.
You always look so dang cute and make it look flawless and effortless.

I endorse the idea of a tutu in public! hahahaha, but this is probably because I'm a professional dancer. Oh well!

I just bought this skirt because I saw it here. I thought it looked cute & perfectly casual for both work & weekend. It's my first piece of clothing bought online. If this goes well (fits like it should, the fabric feels like it looks like it should, etc...) me & my wallet could be in trouble with more online shopping.

ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh. This is one of the prettiest outfits you've worn! I love it!! And those flats DO look like ballet flats. I actually wore my real ballet shoes for my senior recital and they were mostly covered by my full-length dress. Best decision ever. You can literally wear them anywhere! love it!
