[CLOSED] Want an Invitation to Pinterest?

pinterest

I've mentioned pinterest a lot in the past few weeks--it's an astoundingly addictive free site for compiling images online. You make virtual bulletin boards and just "pin" whatever images you want to them. This week, pinterest was kind enough to feature my what to wear inspiration board on their compilation of spring looks.

pinterest

Because the site is still in beta, it still can be hard to find an invitation to join, but have no fear, Pinterest is offering 15 readers custom invitations to the site! If you want to enter to win one, leave a comment below with your email address and an idea of how you might use pinterest (to keep track of outfit inspiration, to plan a party, to think about decorating a house, etc.). I'll pick 15 people next week!
UPDATE: Pinterest will be emailing the 15 winners with their customs invites. Thanks for entering (and p.s. you're always welcome to write me if you're dying for an invitation--I have a couple extra).

Agghh, trying so hard to resist joining! I guess I will take winning this as my sign from the time suckage Gods that I should be pinning! Reluctantly throwing my hat in the ring...

This is so timely; I was just throwing my name on their wait list! I'd use it to track design and DIY ideas for my home renovation -- and for outfit inspiration, of course!

I totally need this because my bookmark list is out of control! I bookmark diy projects, fashion tips, and home decor ideas. This would be great to have a place to see it all!

Not to ruin this (feel free to delete this if it is going to ruin it!) but if you go to the Pinterest facebook page and request an invite, somebody will probably be kind enough to give you one, within a few minutes no less! I felt a little rude, but I requested an invite over a month ago and heard nothing! Still haven't heard.

I'd loooove to use Pinterest to plan some apartment decorating! I just got my master's and I'll be moving out of my college town just as soon as I can get a job and I can't wait to decorate a new space :)
Thanks for the giveaway!!

As a fellow graduate student there are dark days when the only activities I engage in are academic or related to survival. I love my program and my research, but it can be a little much. Boyfriend (also a graduate student) and I do our best to slow down, cook dinner, go for a bike ride, or read aloud to each other, but browsing food, fashion, and home blogs are my other major relaxation outlet. I have crazy bookmark categories and iPhoto "events" in an effort to keep everything straight so I can actually utilize the inspiration but being able to easily see all related events side by side would be make a huge difference. I've been on the waiting list for just at a week and the anticipation has been leading me start planning what categories I would need!

Sarah said...

This would be amazing! I'm a med student and have little (or no) free time, but I do love to peruse fashion blogs and often will return to a site over and over just to find that one outfit I remembered in order to recreate it. I would love to be able to save all those outfit inspirations on one site!

Leah said...

Oh man! I'd like one so bad! I would you Pinterest to track home decor ideas, wedding inspirations, and, of course, ideas for future outfits. I think that using Pinterest will really help me with the wedding part, because that is something we really need to start focusing on.

Khadijeh said...

ooh i'd definitely use it to organize fashion ideas, especially how to re-mix my ever-growing closet!

DeJa Vu said...

I've been looking at all of my favorite bloggers on pinterest and so want one.

I would use it of course to help me with fashion.

But I'm also a writer and images are my biggest inspiration. Right now I print a lot of images for real life boards. But it would be awesome to be able to do it virtually.

I would really like an invite. I'm going to be moving and therefore decorating a new place, plus I'm a knitter and always looking for a handy way to mark commercial sweaters I've seen so I can try to figure out how to DIY them later!

Awesome. I would use the pinterest account to pin images that inspire my DIY projects. I've been thinking of adding a DIY page to my blog and it would be a great way to focus my thoughts since I'm a visual person.

Elizabeth said...

First, I just have to say that your pinterest board is so well-curated that I've been using it as a reference for those days when I run out of outfit ideas. You've got a great eye for classic-yet-slightly-quirky outfits. I think it's a great way to keep track of outfit inspirations, so I would use mine in a manner similar to yours!

Between the shoes and the baby clothes and the furniture for our first house and the bags and the paint colors and the gardening ideas and the recipes and the books and the folk art and the DIY ideas and the poems and the photographs and the gorgeous fabrics...I think I need to pin. Maybe it will make this crazy life of mine make some sense!

Pinterest! I would really love to use an account for outfit inspiration and party planning. I like throwing themed parties and aim to hold at least one or two a year; Pinterest would be a super-easy way of keeping track of all my ideas and inspiration for party outfits!

I applied for one already but still haven't gotten in...I need pinterest so that my bookmarks and desktop folders will stop overflowing! I've got so many folders for inspiration -- outfits, cooking, hair ideas, artwork, farming, JOB SEARCHES -- that any one of these would be better pinned. BiblioMOMia may have even more than I do, but...I have over a thousand bookmarks. We both need this.

Pinterest! Yes! I am about to enter into a year of teaching, auditing, and reading for qualifying exams, and I fear I might lose all grasp on the fun parts of my brain: photography, fashion, and film. It would be wonderful to have a space for things-to-investigate. Right now my version of Pinterest is a bunch of crumpled post-it notes at the bottom of my bookbag, and things are only going to get worse in September...

I've been intrigued by Pinterest for awhile now! I'm working full time in an ER, which means I unfortunately wear dark gray scrubs 5+ days a week. Pinterest would be perfect to help me out :-) Thank you so much!

My "wardrobe" consists of a pair of skinny jeans (now short-shorts due to an unfortunate seam failure yesterday), a pair of sweats, several t-shirts and a pair of track pants. Pinterest would help me with my much-needed style revamp.

Also, summer is coming up, which will mean school will hand me back my life and I'll have time to use the membership.

Oh wow, I have been trying to get an invite for a while now! I absolutely love the way I see several bloggers using pinterest and really want to try the same...right now my current mode of storing images is emailing links to myself in gmail (kind of clunky!). I think pinterest could really streamline that process and be fun at the same time. I feel like I have been lacking some in inspiration recently - I think this could help!

oh i was wondering how to join this thing! i thought i was just dumb or something. i'd use it to track pretty clothes, pretty pictures about love and for inspiration for my upcoming weddinggg!

Holly said...

Wow, what would I NOT use it for? I, too, have a terrible time with keeping my web inspirations in order. The best I've managed is to c&p links and e-mail them to myself. Not really cutting the mustard. I'd use pinterest to keep track of gift ideas for my baby neice (and my baby nephew on the way, and all my friends' babies), gift ideas for friends and family, as a maid of honor this year it would be awesome to have it as a place to store ideas for the bride-to-be should the mood strike, decorating and organizing tactics for my apartment, ways to stylize and personalize my outfits, different images to move me in my writing and drawing endeavors, and the list goes on and on. I was just introduced to the site through this blog, and I was just introduced to this blog about a week ago by a friend of mine (and I love it so much!), and I feel myself very inspired and an invitation to pinterest would be an awesome way to keep the momentum going.

I keep my inspiration photo folders (mostly style-/fashion-related) on a few different computers that I rotate through the day (one at work, a laptop, and my desktop at home) and it'd be so much more efficient to have a single place where I could pin my inspirations!

I'd love to be able to give Pinterest a try. I'd probably be very random with it; I'd definitely pin interior design ideas, probably have a visual wish list, and possibly use it for fashion-related items as well. I think I'd treat it more as a digital inspiration board, really.

I'd love an invite -- 1. b/c I've been following so many fashion blogs that have been raving about Pinterest lately, but 2. more importantly my email inbox has become overwhelming. I'm constantly sending myself blog posts, pictures, outfits, clothing sites, etsy store links, and DIY project ideas that I'm starting to lose these little bits of inspiration in the mix. I love the idea of keeping it all in one place.

Thanks for the chance.

Please help a bridesmaid out so I can get this bride started and ease the planning portion for her! (I would totally love one too, for decorating my apartment, but I'm not gonna push my luck :))

This would be amazing! I'm attempting to finally revamp my pathetic high school/college wardrobe of jeans and shirts into something more appropriate (and feminine!) for a 25 year old. I'm bookmarked so many of yours and other bloggers' outfits as ideas; this site would make it much easier to keep my inspirations organized!
Also, working as a chef, I could use this for ideas and inspiration in the kitchen. Flavor combinations, new ingredients, and plating ideas are always on my mind, and this could be a great way to keep those organized as well.
