Having a blog has encouraged me to wear things I might have been wary of earlier. Sometimes it works and I'm delighted and sometimes it's not quite right. I loved the idea of mixing polka-dots and a floral print, and of keeping this dress loose but the silhouette long. But altogether, I think this came out looking a bit too sweet with the braids. While I think it's kind of pretty, I don't know if I completely like it. Weirdly enough, even the camera and the light seemed to feel a little romantic--the sun-spots are imperfect but also kind of pretty.

Love this look and I think the braids go well with it. Not too sweet, in my opinion, but maybe "messier" milkbraids would fix that something that you feel is not quite right.
Romantic is completely the perfect description for this - you look like you belong in a John Singer Sargent painting or a modern version of a Jane Austen film - but that's not a bad thing!! I love the floatiness and sweetness vibe of the outfit - it suits you just as much as your other creations!
I like to think i have a romantic personality so I would tell ya this look is phenomenal

These pictures are so beautiful! Love this outfit, especially the shoes! I've been thinking about trying to incorporate more braids this spring/summer...great hairdo for those hots days! love it!
The sun spots actually work here hah. This is a very sweet look, but I think it looks wonderful on you! You're probably just not used to it. I know the first few times I wandered about in milk-maid braids and a more dainty dress I felt like a little girl, but that went away.
