I have something of a red skirt obsession this spring (see here, here, here, here, here) so I was inordinately excited to add this one to my closet and am already planning loads of summer outfits with it. Also, don't be fooled by the warm look of these photos, which were taken in a flash after I begrudgingly tore off my exoskeleton, I mean, trench coat--plus, I had to wear a wool sweater and mittens on my bike ride to school today because it was freeeeezing this morning. I hope spring gets here soon because I am so ready for a little heat!

I'm a bike-riding bookworm in DC trying to make better use of a sometimes-vanilla closet. You can read a little more about this blog

Really simple but cute outfit! Red and white looks so fresh together!
I've had something of a white shirt obsession lately, and I love yours!
Cute outfit! I love that it is simple but the red skirt really makes a statement.

I almost got a shirt like that the other day. It looks nice and breezy for warm weather!
Oh, T, I love this. It looks so pretty and fresh. I do believe an outfit like this could convince spring to come out from under her rock...xoxo.
what a fun skirt! it is definitely perfect for the summer! hope some warmer weather comes your way soon :)
love the outfit!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH! You look super cute in that skirt. Thanks for freezing your fanny off to show us this cute outfit!
Cute outfit!
It's been pretty hot here in LA. Do you want some of our heat? :D

I just found you via simplybike, and I'm so glad I did! I love that you are a stylish bikey lady, especially in the midwest! (I went to college in good ol' Lincoln, NE). Looks great, keep going.
I just thrifted a red pencil skirt that comes down to my mid-calf. You just gave me the inspiration to CHOP it in half! LOVE, girl! You look amazing.

Hi Tania,
I know it's not Monday, but I want to let you know that I look forward to checking for your new posts on Mondays. They help soothe my feelings of not being ready for the week to start.
I have been anticipating the debut of this skirt on your site since you linked to it last week! How do you like the fit, particularly the waistband?

Loooove the boots!

First of all, those photos are gorgeous. And I love that skirt! I've gotta add a red one to my "to-make" list.

wow, leah, what an incredibly sweet note! thank you so much. the skirt fits true to size (i got a medium because i have a big bum--yes, it's true). it's pretty stretchy and looks just like it does on the website (you can pull it up and wear it at the waist) or pull it down and even fold the waistband over. i really really like it!
if you don't want it too tight, i might order a size up. let me know if you get it :)
I love the shirt. I can't wait until Target comes to Canada
I love this! I'm wearing a red skirt right now, red skirt twins TO VICTORY.
Love this outfit! You look really awesome :)
It turned cold here too, and I hate it.
you look great

you're SO SKINNY! and i love this look. so fresh.
Today I wore a shirt that looks JUST EXACTLY like yours. Pintucking, same collar, everything. Except mine has a tie at the empire waistline - coming from the sides there. Can I just wear a belt with it like you have? Your awesome outfit today is telling me that I should probably just hack them off and look like your outfit.
red is definitely your color!
Eep! I love the little pop of red skirt!
I'm pretty sure Christopher loved this outfit. :)
Oh, actually it's not! I was talking about a different shirt - that post is a couple days old. (I've been so bad about blogging in a timely fashion lately!) I actually haven't worn the shirt in that post more than probably a handful of times in the years that I've owned it. But maybe I will absorb some of your enthusiasm for it and wear it more often!
Also I'm now looking for a fab red skirt. : P
How do you manage to ride a bike in a short skirt? I've never been able to pull it off, without, erm, unintended consequences.
Thanks for sharing how you like the skirt, Tania! I've been looking for a stretchy little skirt for summer. I'm gonna order one, and I'll tell you how it goes. The length you wore it looks great on you.
And I will echo Sarah's question about riding bikes in short skirts. I tried it last weekend, and let's just say I got a lot of attention.
Do cute! I love the red with brown - never would have put those two together. And yet, you do it so easily!
