Um, I think the title says it all. I love this dress, but it is not very forgiving about lumps and bumps. While I felt passably good before dinner, I foolishly decided that an enormous dinner at avec in Chicago would be a great prologue to outfit shots. By the time we got to taking these photos, I joked that I felt like I was about 5 months along with a flatbread pizza baby (let's be real: there might be a chrorizo-stuffed-date baby in there, as well). YUM. Now I just hope avec caters food-baby showers...hee.
P.S. An update on the giveaway: if you entered on Thursday when the post was first put up, blogger ate your comment--so I'd love if you would re-enter so I can consider you to win! Thanks, and sorry about the technical difficulties :)

hahaha nice. i would so do that. and the dress is gorgeous!
I know what you mean about the "food baby", the good thing is that black dress hides it well. You still look great!

There are no lumps and bumps to see here at all. I think you look fabulous!
You look chic - very "rich" look! No lumps and bumps from my point of view. Have a great weekend! Cheers!
Bumps and lumps, my humps! Sorry, I had to go there. xD
Regardless! The fact that it's a dark navy/black color is very flattering and you need naught worry about any "umps." Though I definitely felt that way today when I ill-decided to wear a pair of tight black jeans that were unforgiving to my stomach. ><
I'm so glad to see that you're enjoying Chi-town so much! I love visiting that city. :D

You are an amazingly chic food baby mama. This look is super hot on you.
I enjoy how the sign says that you're reserved for the athletic institute. It's a nice hint of irony :)
It's ok you still look good :)
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I mean, you look great so I don't know what you mean. But still, it can feel like you're eNORmous when you've just eaten.
Also, I need to thank you for accepting Spotted Moth as a sponsor and for alerting us readers to their greatness. I just ordered a dress, and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations in speed of delivery, quality (at least so far), fit, and overall cuteness. Now if only they would get a review function going on their website . . .
girl, i don't see any lumps or bumps. it's a flattering dress, especially with that belt around the middle.
love your dress - its the perfect LBD!
you look great. no clue what bumps your talking about! :)
very nice look)
Psh, you look fantastic (although I know that feeling is all relative) - and that meal sounds totally worth any resultant food-baby! This look is absolutely lovely, and I love (and envy) how tall and elegant you look in flats.
This dress is so pretty and sleek! If you really are pregnant with a flatbread pizza baby, you really can't tell in these photos ;)
I understand completely, but I don't see any food baby at all!! You look fabulous as far as I'm concerned :)

I find this post really disappointing. I have been reading your blog for awhile, in part because you always struck me as the kind of person who would be self-reflective about these sorts of "oh no, lumps! food baby!" posts. I mean really, who cares?! Well, the answer is, of course, a lot of people. But that doesn't make it any better. You ate dinner, you are human, why is it necessary to say that only fools would take pictures AFTER dinner? Plenty of people have all sorts of lumps, regardless of when the photo was taken, and still look fantastic. I love your style and usually enjoy reading your blog, but the commentary in this post was really surprising to me.
Beautiful dress!
What a great dress! Love the short length and long sleeves - it keeps it looking chic and modest!
Well, I think this dress is really flattering on you, and if there's a food baby anywhere, it's not apparent in the pics. So kudos to you for having either an awesome body, an awesome dress, awesome lighting, or all three :)

Very chic outfit! LOL about food babies - been there!
I really like this dress on you and you do not look like you are able to fit any kind of anything in that dress anyways. You look really pretty!
You look freaking FABULOUS. I really, really adore that dress.

Psh...You look great! : )
i love dresses with sleeves! that one is GORGEOUS! you are such a babe.
Sex-ay. LOVE this!
anonymous--sorry to disappoint :(
i meant the post to be light-hearted and self-deprecating, not to be commenting critically about anything to do with body size. (in fact, the reason i poked fun at myself is mostly to deter the "are you pregnant" anonymous commenters...)
can't please everyone all the time, but i'm sorry if this came off the wrong way.
