As the year wraps up, I have a few small events to attend, which is always a great excuse to be dressed up. I don't generally need an excuse (obviously), but it's fun not to look twice as fancy as most people for once. I wore this yesterday to a volunteer banquet with the adorable middle schooler who I mentor, who totally out-fancied me by wearing her fancy high heels. Seeing her all dressed up was so charming, my heart melted just a little.

that dress rules! Spotted Moth is so wonderful :) Don't you love to see kids growing up and dressing like adults? it's cute!
I love that dress! I have a bunch of summer weddings to go to, and I think that is the perfect dress for them...dress it up with a nice belt and killer heels...perfecto!
Tania, I love this outfit! The dress is so pretty, and I love your flats, too.
Ooh, the graphic print on that dress is amazing! (And it's always fun to get dressed up. I'm so dressed down most of the time that I can't wait for an excuse to dress up!)

What an awesome dress. The pattern is great!
Kudos to you on two counts-the first being that you mentor a middle schooler. I have a son (10) who I have been trying to get a mentor for for about a year now. He has had some hard times (getting better though). There just aren't enough people like you around who are willing and able to do that. Second, your dress is adorable. I love the pattern.
What an adorable dress!! And I want to give you kudos for mentoring!!

This is an adorable dress!
Mentoring middle schoolers is the best. I used to teach middle school, and I have to say I love that age group. Many people shy away from that age group thinking that they are too difficult. Not so! I am sure you make a fabulous mentor!
Thanks for being a model for Linley's piece! :) You've sold me.
Also love that dress....looks more than $36!
What a pretty pattern on the dress! I love that they just look like dots from far but up close there are trees too!
awww! that dress is so pretty, and it is so good of you to spend time with a middle schooler! they don't get enough love/attention and knowing it's from you makes it extra special!
I really like how this dress looks on you! The print is awesome and I like the colors of the dots!
I adore that dress!
The colors in this dress are awesome! I love it so.
Major brownie points to you for mentoring a middle schooler, and congrats to the BF on his dissertation! I definitely know I'll go to grad school eventually, but for now I just need a break from school. Either way, you're a great example of how to do it in style :)
You are really rocking a pretty pattern. It must've been nice to wear it to a fun banquet. I also think it's cool you're a mentor. You must stay busy!
Middle schoolers are so cute when they dress up. You know that she probably tried on 14 different outfits just to make sure she looked as cute as you usually do. (They have eagle eyes, no matter how unaffected they want to seem.)
