Freshly Printed

Freshly Printed

Freshly Printed
works cited: dress c/o spotted moth; hunter boots; target cardigan

It seems like I've been having a long, happy reunion with various printed dresses in my closet (exhibit A, B, C). Though I'm sure I'll be sick of them by the end of the summer, right now I'm thrilled to give the cold shoulder to winter's wool and just put on a dress in the morning. The truth is, most of my creative energy is being siphoned off by my soul-crushing dissertation prospectus, so I've been more than usually reliant on pretty prints to seem put together. The good news is I am almost finished (hurrah) at which point I'll surely return to my usual closet-indecision-angst in the morning :)

I adore that dress!! And yet again, I have boot envy :)

Completely understand where you're coming from on the lack of energy. Between working full time and my evening classes- In the mornings, most of the time, I grab the first thing that catches my eye and hit the door. Minimal to no accessories.

I love this with the cardigan! Do the sleeves look strange on their own? I couldn't tell from the pictures on ModCloth. That cardigan is the perfect color for the dress as well!

I love everything about this outfit! The color of the cardigan really brings out the colors in the printed dress. Really nice!

I've really like all the dresses lately... they're my personal favorite thing to wear. So easy and no (or little) matching involved. Do you still wear the skirts you made yourself? Now that I'm almost done teaching for the year and will have a lot more free time, I plan on using your tutorial to make myself a few!

Glad to see how stress can be used to channel something other than corduroys and a cardigan! I'll have to use this as my inspiration in the mornings :)

I too am going through dissertation prospectus process (after my department didn't like my first one). It's been a high jean rotation week as a result, but managed to pull on a skirt today - yeah!

I love this dress - that print is just to die for! It's funny, now that I'm reunited with (some of) my closet, I seem to be having the opposite reaction - I've gotten so enamored with the versatility of separates while traveling that I can't seem to 'let go' with the ease of a cute dress.

Just wanted to send you some good luck vibes for your prospectus writing! Exciting and scary, no? (And the outfit--so pretty and effortless. I love it.)
