One Time, I Felt Fancy

One Time, I Felt Fancy

One Time, I Felt Fancy

One Time, I Felt Fancy
works cited: megan nielsen skirt; h&m tunic tucked in; clarks wedges; ruche necklace; old navy trench

Nothing says spring like a whole lot of neutrals together, wouldn't you say? Sadly this sweater is a little see-through so I had to layer some stuff under it and I kind of felt (okay, and looked) like a Michelin man. Moving on--a sparkly necklace says both spring and I'm-a-poor-grad-student-but-I-can-be-fancy-too. And speaking of fancy, I ate a big pot full of fondue tonight and it was good, especially since if we had tried to eat at home, there would have been some week-old celery and canned beans on the menu, because that is literally all we have in the fridge. And there we have it, the world's most random post.

I see no Michelin Man. That necklace is so pretty. :)

Agreed with no Michelin Man! The scarf brings a nice saturated brightness to the neutrals while still fitting in with the same color family.

I agree with the previous comments; the Michelin Man has nothing on you! ;) And I'm crazy jealous of your Megan Nielsen skirt. I can never seem to catch her pieces before they sell out.

Somehow this outfit makes me think that you should fit into a Virginia Woolf novel. Perhaps it is the pale neutrals and the way your hair is tied back. Lovely!

I love the shape of that skirt, and the yellow scarf is really fun.

Loving the neutrals! Also... get a nude bra! I always wear them when I bust out my see-thru stuff (cause you know... bust that out a lot) and it works because otherwise my mother would have something to say!

What Would a Nerd Wear said...

jentine, i have a nude bra but you could still see the outlines of it under the sweater...better safe than sorry i thought, esp. in front of a group of 30 students. what i need is a nude bodysuit...very sexy.

i lOVE this skirt! I just bought a similar one that is much too long at a thrift store, and I'm hoping to hem it to a reasonable length...we'll see how that goes!

Hey there,

wow, i haven´t been fooling around your blog a lot lately...now, i really digg the new design, looks great. Even better with the yellow scarf, which adds some pop to an otherwise very down-to earth get-up. Well done, Tania!
