Lighter and Brighter

works cited: anthro skirt; gap tee; j. crew sweater (gift); forever21 necklace; urban outfitters flats

I'm really happy with the way this turned out--the greenish gray skirt was a last minute change and I like the unexpected washed-out pastels all together. I'm finishing up teaching To The Lighthouse for the end of the semester and I feel like I'm finally settling into my class (just as it's ending, of course). It's been wonderful to see the class blossom around this book--which is as beautiful as it is difficult--and the spring weather is kind of a sweet reminder that sometimes when things look dead, it's just because it's winter, and they'll bloom when it gets warm :)

Ah, I just love these ruffled cardigans of yours - no way I could pull them off, but you wear softer feminine pieces so beautifully. And I have to say, I always love when your bike peeks into outfit shots - even though you're likely cycling off to class, it gives your pictures such an air of care-free spring!

I remember To the Lighthouse! I liked it so much that I bought a copy of the audio book. If I try, I can still here the narrator's voice.

I like your pale combination of clothes. I am envious of your weather. It's cold, grey, and rainy here.

Aaack. I meant hear. (Such a good blog to leave a typo in the comments...)

I really like the pastels in this outfit, that skirt is perfect. It's good to hear that your class is going well (especially since I go on placement next week and I hope my class will be really good as well!).

What a great spring outfit. Love the colors. Especially the seafoam green of your skirt. I remember when high school was not annualized and each semester was a new set of students. I always felt the same way as you, about getting to know your students and then the semester ends. Now I get to teach my kids for the whole year.

These colors are so beautiful together. I really adore muted palettes. Question: Do you wear your hair down when you teach? I'm always worried about that making me look unprofessional.

I really like this combination on you. Makes your taint look almost like porcelain! I especially adore that J.Crew sweater! Lovely

Gorgeous colors!

I'm enthralled with the idea of teaching To The Lighthouse. I hear about stuff like that and mourn the fact that I somehow ended up as a lawyer. Very cool.
