I spent the day browsing through Goodwill and Salvation Army with a good friend who claims she doesn't know how to shop at thrift stores. Could've fooled me, because she ended up with a belt collection to rival mine, a gorgeous pleated silk top, and a leather handbag. I got a few good things (I'll bring them out in the next week), but overall it was a humbling experience to shop with someone who was the Magnet For All Good Vintage in the area :)

What a lucky friend! It can be so hard to find decent things when in thrift stores sometimes.

Love the entire outfit!

I've always been thrifting by myself, because my friend went through a "thrift" phase in high school so now she claims everything in thrift stores will make her look like a hobo! Hmm, let's see if I can convince her otherwise...

As a fellow fashion conscious nerd, I am so happy to have stumbled across your blog. I've also been struggling with a way to style a red and white striped top I've had sitting in my closet for ages and you've given me some wonderful ideas. A skirt like this wouldn't quite work for my body type but at least I have a direction now. :)

Hello adorable! I actually have nearly identical pieces in my closet. Hmm...may have to copy this one! And I am so not talented at thrifting. My best finds have always been ones that are prominently displayed--I am rubbish when it comes to digging through the racks.
