My name is Christopher, and I’m Tania’s boyfriend and staff photographer. Today, I’m stepping out from behind the camera to post on Tania’s blog. I’ve been looking to Tania’s blog for inspiration lately when I’m getting dressed, but frankly, I’ve been feeling a little confused. None of the outfits worked like she said they would. For example, I tried belting this cardigan and pairing it with this scarf and glasses I bought. I threw on some orange lipstick to tie it all together…or maybe not. Have a gander at the results:
See…something looks a bit, I don’t know, not quite right. And I don’t think the glasses work either. After my earlier experiment sputtered, I thought outerwear could solve my problem. Readers of Tania’s blog will know her fondness for pattern mixing. I thought I’d “kick it up another notch” by mixing patterns AND insulative properties. Because cool weather is lingering here in the Midwest, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try some down/breathable fabric fusions. Buuuuuuut…
Filled with frustration, I tried one final combination. This time, I went to my ace in the hole—sequins! Sequins say “fancy,” but I can dress them down by pairing them with jeans, right? Throw on a wintery cap to look “fashionably bundled,” and I thought I’d have a surefire winner. Like Tania, though, I had a hard time standing still in front of the camera.
You are not allowed to ask where this vest came from. But you are allowed to join me wishing Tania a happy April Fool’s day! I’m stuck in Philly and I miss you already, Tania.
P.S. Last year's April Fools post :)
