Works Cited--Outfit 30!
button-up: j crew
pullover: urban outfitters
skirt: gap
boots: ll bean
coat: h&m
socks: c/o american apparel

This is my final outfit of the 30 for 30 (hoo-rah!) and I wanted to mix things up a little by layering two tops and switching up the silhouette of this skirt. Although I might have looked taller with wedges on, I hate the feeling that my outfit is trying to hard, and the bean boots were a fun complement to a gingham top. Even though this risks (and succeeds at?) shortening me because there's nothing to define my waist, I still find it fun to experiment with clothes, especially when that experimentation is free with the clothes you already have in your closet. And for me, that's the really fun part of the 30 for 30--it makes me come up with riskier or different pairings than I'd normally gravitate towards. Sometimes they bomb, but even when they do, the consequence is only a single day of awkward dressing and there's nothing really wrong with that.
P.S. These (non-prescription) glasses prove that my obsession with glasses goes way back--I got them in the 9th grade with the theory "Look smart, feel smart, maybe get an A on my geometry test." Such wisdom at such a young age :)

I love this outfit! I don't think it shortens you... and if it does, it's not in a bad way - it's in a cute kinda way!
You look great! Congrats on finishing your 30x30!

I love this, especially with your coat on. It brings all of the colours together, though obviously you can't leave your coat on all day for that reason!

Congrats on finishing! I like how casual and comfortable this outfit looks without a belt or defined waist. Perfect for the weekend

I love your fashion philosophy - I have a similar internal monologue every morning when I get dressed.

Congrats on finishing! And I love this outfit, it's very comfy chic, my kind of outfits. I don't know if comfy chic is actually a concept, so I made it up.

Congrats on finishing! I think sometimes you just have to wear what you feel like wearing and not care if it looks good. I wear outfits like that all the time, sometimes I look great but other times I'm sloppy. All that matters is being happy with what you wear and how you feel!

Such a gran finale! I know I wouldn't be able to remix 30 pices for 30 days, so I'm proud of you Tania! Once again, you're getting better! ;-)

Have an awesome week!

who cares about looking short if you also look really awesome? besides, it's only the media that wants us looking taller anyway. AND they also send conflicting messages about being tall, but not being taller than the man you're with (also assuming that you'll be with a man at all). forget all that and just keep doing what you're doing. it's working for you!

Congrats on finishing. I always wear my glasses on job interviews, in an attempt to "look smarter".

I love this outfit!! I don't think you look short at all and I am really loving those glasses on you. I always find it interesting when people wear fake glasses because I have real ones that I HAVE to wear daily (I can't handle contacts) and I get quite annoyed of them. I have started to embrace the glasses thing though (it helps that my style is often similarly librarian/nerd-esque!)

I really like the boots with your outfit. I have had a few outfits I haven't loved but I learned from them.

Congrats on finishing! I think this final outfit is super cute. No, it doesn't define your waist very much, but it doesn't widen you out, and a nipped silhouette is obviously not the look you're going for with this one.

This outfit is adorable but it still looks super comfortable. Great combination!
