To continue on the theme of my addiction to pinterest, today I was inspired at the last minute by this really pretty image of a light gray blouse and beige-white necklace. After putting together the gray striped top with the almond-colored sweater, I was digging around for a necklace to spice things up and in a magical moment, I found these two necklaces in the bottom of a drawer--they aren't a perfect match, but they approximate the feel of the original image. See? I am a big fat copy cat again.

P.S. Speaking of pinterest, I also really love Dot's inspiration board--complete with a bunch of amazing looks from J. Crew's new fall collection--swoon.

You are such an inspiration to us other grad students.. you're so stylish! I love this outfit, it's classy, especially with the black pants and the cream sweater, but also fun with the shoes and the necklace. I never have enough energy in the morning to put into my clothes, but after reading your blog I might just find some, haha.
I have those pumps and I wore them once and they killed my feet! They're just so cute though I'll probably keep them/still wear them lol
maddy--thank you!! and re: the shoes, tell me about it! they are killer....i actually brought flats to campus today for the running back and forth because these pumps hurt after a few hours. woof!

I love the contrast of the neutrals against the super dark black of your pants.
love your new layout! i also did neutrals today! great outfit! : )
You are one pretty lady! Such a natural beauty!
thank you, friends!
rachie, the radiance is due to benefit's high beam makeup--it's amazing and makes you look super-glowy. i swear i've been asked if i'm pregnant weekly since i started using it. I'M NOT. but it gives a great glow :)
Ha ha so lucky! I like your necklaces better though. Well what I can see I like your whole outfit better. So it's not really copying. More like tweaking... (:

you pull off those cropped black pants so well! I'm pretty sure if I tried cropped pants they would make my legs look about half as long, but somehow they elongate yours! such a perfect outfit to welcome spring :)
Inquiring minds want to know how you bike anywhere in all your awesome shoes?
LOVE this outfit. i looked at that cardi online in a different colour, and now i'm upset i didnt order it :(

anonymous--i do bike in these shoes, mostly by putting the ball of my foot on the pedal (i also have a vintage 3-speed, so it's a bit easier to stay balanced in tricky shoes). and i packed flats in my bag yesterday which i ended up wearing on the bike ride home after i had to run around doing a bunch of errands.
Okay, this... I LOVE. Best outfit of all the fashion bloggers I read this week.
the light neutrals here are fantastic! such a great spring outfit!
I happen to be in love with neutrals, so of course this outfit is just perfect! =)
