So I'm on outfit 24 of 30 and nearing the finish line for this 30 for 30 (if you want to know which number outfit I'm on, I've been quietly listing it next to the works cited). I feel like I've really gotten the hang of remixing and I actually love making multiple outfits out of limited pieces--my creativity feels stronger, I don't worry when an outfit isn't perfect (which I think leads to better combinations in the end), and I am forced into dreaming up new ways to wear beloved pieces. Like I thought this blazer might look awkward with these jeans, but turns out I love the way they look together. And I might be coming around to blazers after all...

I'm a bike-riding bookworm in DC trying to make better use of a sometimes-vanilla closet. You can read a little more about this blog

You should indeed be coming around to blazers, because they look awesome on you! And I love the trouser jean--it's such a great item for grad students.
Super-fun neutrals mixing, too, btw...
I love wearing blazers. I had a suit in my closet from Banana Republic that I only wore to job interviews. One day, I put on the jacket, rolled up the sleeves & paired it with a tank and skinny jeans. I love not being "matchy" all the time & reserving certain items in my closet for certain events.
You're making me want to put on my trouser denim now...Love that necklace!!!
i love this look on you! blazer, jeans, statement necklace - all totally awesome, and you wear it well!

Ooh, I love this. Blazers are awesome. I like your trouser jeans, although I feel sad now that I've gained five pounds and my own trouser jeans no longer fit. You've inspired me to go to either the gym or the mall :)

I love this outfit! It looks great on you! Plus blazers are great for any outfit. I am glad you are coming around to them!
LOVE those pants! I see that they're Loft; I believe I tried on the same ones recently.
Per usual, I love this! I like that this is a bit "different" for you but still feels like you, you know? Plus that necklace is to die for.
I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying the 30 for 30 even at the end of the road. Might even have to try it the next round.
This outfit looks great!
I love that blazer and your necklace!
I love this outfit!!
I love the blazer/trouser jeans combo. It's like a suit, but not really!
They look beautiful together. Well done!
love the necklace! and this look is so classy!
lots of love, ayan
so neat and stylish

You look like a J.Crew model.
These pants look fab on you, the blazer too!
I just love this look - I wish I could look this polished in jeans and a blazer but somehow it never seems to happen.

What?? You look great in a blazer! I demand you wear them more (but only if you want too..haha)
This outfit is neat and classy. I love how the gold in the belt and your necklace match. I will definitely use this look as an inspiration.
And good job so far with the remixing!! You're almost there! =)

Love, love, love your necklace!
I second what Elaine says about looking like a J Crew model.
i love the look of those jeans. i can never pull of fleared jeans. you do it perfectly! (:
You are doing so well. Couldn't even make out that you were doing the challenge.
I love this look, I have slim shoulders and normally have an issue with blazers too, but this look inspires me to at least try it! so cute on you :)
Now, THAT'S how you do jeans and t-shirt! Infinitely chich and timeless ... LOVE.
You look so happy! And pretty! Loving this look on you, T.
Confession: jeans and a blazer are definitely in my top 3 favorite looks ever. You make it all even better with trouser jeans. Way to keep it classy!
I love this outfit. I have a closet full of blazers that I forget about now that I have a more casual dress code. I need to pull those babies out!
Oh you lucky duck...due to recent sickness and a ridiculously large amount of homework, I'm a bit behind on my 30 for 30! You look fabulous--I love this look on you.

I think I'm at the "I'm over it" stage rather than the "I'm totally rocking this" stage, so lets hope I get there soon! And I agree--that blazer looks great with those jeans!
I am so loving that blazer with jeans. I need a blazer jean combo that fits me that beautifully. You're rocking this 30X30.
Ramblings of a Small Town Girl
Ohh...I love this outfit! Very professional! And the necklace is adorable :)
This is such a smart look! You are the 30 x 30 master! :) (Well, maybe second in command to dear Kendi...)
I love this look! I just got a pair of trouser jeans, and you rock them with the blazer!
great outfit!

I am glad to hear that the 30x30's only make you stronger! hahaha It has been freaking hard for me!
This outfit is one of my favs. It's so simple but put together at the same time.
Congrats for nearing the end of the challenge. I still think you are all crazy (in the most loving way possible) for participating so often! It's not an easy challenge.

I really love this outfit, and that necklace perfects the look!
That necklace is perfect, it goes so great with the grey and the blazer.
Your legs look ten miles long in those pants! And the blazer/necklace combo makes it perfect for the classroom.
This outfit is perfection.
You look awesome -- you've had a great run on this remix challenge. I really love this outfit, and it reminds me that I will definitely have to turn to you and your blog for sartorial inspiration when I get back to academia soon:)
I love when outfits turn out well, even if they start out seeming risky. I also really like how you paired your gray blazer with a brown belt, super cute!
Seeing this post has just proven I need to buy a blazer =)
I think the blazer looks really good on you. I love blazers so I'm a little biased. I also like shrunken blazers that come to almost a t-shirt length. I'm 5'4 so they look a little better on me.
My Heart Blogged
Really cute, I love this look!
Just found your blog and went through several looks, you are freaking adorable. =) great style love!
I LOVE this outfit! I'm in a graduate psychology program and I have been struggling to find therapist outfits that convey both authority and approachability. Time to start shopping for some trouser jeans!
Oh my! You look perfect! I always feel wrong wearing a black blazer with dark wash jeans, until I look in the mirror and realize they are perfect together! You're the epitome of "hot professor."
I am an absolute fan of blazers! And I must say, your trousers look divine on you! Lovely outfit! :)
