I wasn't sure I was even going to photograph this outfit today--it's very much weekend-study-Tania with jeans, a button-up, and dirty hair. But as it turns out, this is the kind of outfit I've been in the mood for more often than not in the past few days, so might as well let my style blog reflect the style I've been feeling. Claire also has these boots, though I didn't realize it until after I bought them--now I'm going to be busy bookmarking her posts for ways to wear them. I'm back to the books now (my big exam is in 6 days so I'm kind of frantic lately...acks!).

P.S. I used Joanna's latest hair tutorial and I love the way it turns out--a messy, pulled back, but still volumized way to do kind of dirty hair.

I very much like this!!!
Easy but chic is my favorite way to dress, so I think you were absolutely right to post this outfit. This is the grown-up version of student clothes. I love your sweater especially - comfy but stylish.

YAY you found the short boots!
good luck studying, just remember to breathe and take breaks! xo
You look so comfortable and cute at the same time. Love the way you did your hair - I was a bit intimidated by that tutorial but I might have to give it a try this weekend.
the light blue button down, an essential.
You look adorable! (As always.) And thanks for sharing Joanna's tutorial. Think I'm going to try it out tonight for a casual dinner out with friends!
Easy Does It
In that last picture, you look so much like Kate Winslet that I had to double-check and make sure it's you!
Cute outfit, it's casual and still put together, and I love your messy bun hair too :)

I like casual outfits because it gives me ideas of what to wear. I don't dress up a lot, and I don't work in an office or anything.

that sweater is just perfect! almost makes me wish the cold would stick around ... just so i'd have an excuse to buy it! ha!
Good luck on your exam!
thanks for the information on this blog! I find it very interesting and entertaining! hopefully soon have updates that I love your post! I thank you too!
Good luck good luck good luck! I'm sure you are going to pass with flying colors. But man, those days leading up to the exam are nerve-wracking!
I can't believe you look so chic (and that you're still posting!) so close to your exams! My comps are coming up in a few months and I hope to take a page out of your book for dealing with it stylishly. Best of luck!
I love posts like these because I can relate to them more than a fancy dress (although cutesy stuff is still appreciated). This is the kind of thing I'm more likely to wear on a regular basis, kwim? And you look great!

I love your outfit!! Laid back looking but still fashionable ^^
I wore these buns yesterday, too! I'm doing nothing but working my dissertation this year, so I'm all about keeping it casual.
Best of luck in the final days of exam prep!
I love manly cardigans and granny sweaters. Comfy can look good!
Good luck on your exam! I'm sure you'll do well!
And this is a great studying outfit. It looks smart and comfy. I adore that your colored socks are peeking from your boots. =)

the socks completely ruin it.
I would be so lucky to look this cute while studying.. so jealous you can pop the button down collar and not look country club prep.. it's adorable!
thanks, friends! actually, the collar is popped just because my sweater is 100% wool and super itchy (so warm, but i'm a wimp about itch!).
sorry to hear you don't like the socks, monica! they were my favorite part, but i guess you can't please 'em all :)
ahh i have that sweater, too! love it so much.
