Why I Will Never Have a Hot Rod Car

11

11
yes, i am preternaturally pale and also completely bare-faced (hey, it's saturday!)

Works Cited--Outfit 11

sweater: bcbg (gift from friend)
tee: target
necklace: c/o truly sarah
trouser jeans: loft
pumps: urban outfitters
socks: c/o american apparel

Sometimes I get a little tired of the same standing-in-a-gray-street pictures, so today Christopher's brother suggested that we try posing on the hood of the car, in an homage to girl-and-hot-rod photography (here's a silly example) just to mix things up. Strangely, nerd-and-beat-up-suburu doesn't have quite the same effect...

This outfit looks so cute and cozy, I love that sweater and your jeans!

PS. I wish I looked that good bare-faced, you're so gorgeous lady!

LOL! this cracked me up. i'm sure i'd be even more un-hot-rod-girl-esque on the hood of my ford escape. i have that same necklace from truly sarah and i LOVE it! so simple and pretty. sarah is probably the sweetest person alive--i got so excited when i saw you wearing a necklace from her shop!

Hahaha! "Nerd-and-beat-up-suburu", priceless. I'd call it "natural-beauty (no make-up?! gah!) -on-realistic-person's-ride". Besides, the green paint brings out the jade in that pretty necklace!

Ha! Personally, I think nerd+subaru is an absolutely winning combination :)

And I will definitely echo previous comments about your lovely skin! Please tell me there is a secret beyond genetics.

What else would a nerd drive? I wish my skin looked like yours with no make-up. I'm in my 20's and still get breakouts.

HAHAHAHA. Choking on my nonsexy green tea over here. And your porcelain skin is way more attractive than Freakishly-Tanned Hot Rod Chic.

Feeling very jealous of your no-makeup skin. You look great!

Do you think you might be able to do a tutorial, or at least a guideline of how to accessorize?

I never know what to pair with what outfit, or what necklace to wear, or even to wear a necklace at all! It seems to come so naturally to you. Help a poor nerd out?

Ha ha! Oh Tania, you still look cute anyway! Props to you for trying new poses!

I love the outfit and the car pose. You should make a nerds and subarus calendar. I would totally buy it.

You are too funny. You may not have "sexy" with this car, but you definitely get a "WAY CUTE" in my book! :)

You know the green of the suburu really goes well with your outfit Tania {hehe}.

Okay, your last picture just made me chuckle so loud that The Doc asked me what was funny! I showed him the pic, and he said "I like nerdy girls on nerdy cars...it looks like you." Which made me laugh even more. Boys.

Seriously, though, you're adorable. The flowy cardigan is unlike anything I've seen on you, at least anything worn often, and it looks lovely on your slender frame. And the necklace is great, too!

I don't know what you're talking about! You look totally hot on that car...except for all the snow around you ;-)

you may not have a hot red car, but the beat up subaru fits you perfectly! Also, is it me or did *everyone* except me buy those same urban outfitters heels? They are so freaking cute!

If there were to be a pin-up style calendar made especially by and for English Ph.D. students, I think this would be a good pose for February...

All you need is a pile of books next to you and Subaru will be begging to advertise on your website.
