If belting were a crime, I'd have a loooong sentence. Still, I can't resist belting things like tunics and sweaters because if I didn't, I'd look frumpty dumpty. For some people with amazing long legs (little sister, I'm looking at you), skinny jeans and a long tunic look amazing as-is. But I'd drown in them if I didn't try to define my waist. That's why I hope high-waisted skirts and a-line dresses never, ever go out of style, because they are so easy and flattering for me.
P.S. I can't believe the 30 for 30 is two-thirds of the way done! For the third time around, I think I've finally got the hang of it :)

I'm totally a belting addict. You make it look so natural, and I love how it accentuates your waist and brings the separate items together.

I love belting, too! I'm short and pear shaped, so I really need something that gives definition in the waist, or I end up looking like a box.

I love the long length of the oxford with the shorter sweater! Cute!

Looking great!Belting is the best. If it were a crime there would be a thriving black market and you might be the Al Capone of cinched waists :D

Yellow is your color for sure! You look so beautiful!

I'm pretty sure I belt everything now. If not to define my waist, at least to look like I put more effort in than throwing on jeans and a t-shirt haha. :)

I don't usually belt, but after starting reading blogs like yours I feel I will get addicted soon. I really like the mustard colour on the sweater and the combination with the longer tunic.

I really do need that sweater!

You look great! I have really short legs, so I need to try this technique. I have that same cardigan, but I bought it right before the 30x30 and didnt include it, so I am DYING to wear it. I wish I felt as good about the 30x30 as you, I'm ready to be done!!

Believe me or not, I actually think I like yours better. (Gasp!) Blasphemy? Perhaps. But I think the beltage helps lots..

I feel you on the belting, unfortunately, I don't have an hourglass figure so I try to fake some curves by adding a belt whenever I can!

I know what you mean about belts, high waists, and a-line skirts. Belts have been life changing for me. I was so frumpy without them. I feel like I belt everything these days. :)

I like this outfit - and I think the belt definitely makes it! :)

I'm jealous of your belting skills. I wish I could pull it off as well as you!

I'm right there with you on the NEED to belt at the waste due to leg length issues. AND I'd like to thank you for setting such a fabulously fashionable example! Your belting skills have proven to be an inspiration time and time again.

Ummmmmm, or "waist" issues. Eeek. Nothing like commenting about "waste" issues on a giant blog.

My husband tries to ban me from belting outfits because he says I do it too much, haha!

Ha! Before I even read your post, I was marveling at how long your legs are - so while I can't say whether it's because of the belt or not, whatever you're doing, it's working!

And that cardigan is making me painfully aware of the lack of mustard in my traveling wardrobe. Hopefully the charity shops of Edinburgh will oblige me with something sunny and bright. :)

I belt just about everything and my sister is the same way in that she does not need a belt to look perfect! Love the look, I am a huge fan of the mustard color on you!

I've recently been introduced to belting things (a huge influence from your blog) and am totally addicted. I have short legs, so it helps to define my waist and I love it! :)
