Today is a very special day--not only is it Breton Stripe Day, but it is also Christopher's 30th birthday. I have to keep this post short, because I teach in 4 minutes (acks! I'm running behind today), given that we spent our morning making a huge birthday breakfast and opening presents. Happy birthday, Christopher! I adore you and it's a joy to celebrate your life with you today. And happy Breton Stripe Day to everyone else :)

I love this look! I think I might have thrifted a similar skirt (only mine is mint green). I'm curious, did you need to hem yours? hi A.! i ended up not hemming this skirt, but i have hemmed another wool vintage skirt--i hemmed the lining first (with my sewing machine) and the wool next, using a hidden stitch (not sure what it's called). if i ever hem this one, i think i'll take it to a tailor because these skirts are so beautiful i don't trust myself to hem them myself!
