It's cold and clear and bright today; it's my former-roommate (and current beloved friend)'s birthday party tonight; I'm having coffee with the effusively charming Jessica this afternoon; and I'm excited to start some new books. Altogether the makings of a terrific day. I'm so glad it's Friday, and today called for no-fuss clothes plus a really pretty necklace to top things off:

Friday Happiness

It might just be the stripes but I feel a little French today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend xoxo

This is so pretty, loving the play of all your neutrals! Also, where did you get your knee socks? They're cute enough I actually want a pair.

thank you, liz xoxoxo!
ana, i think the knee socks are from gap a few years back, but i also have similar ones as these from target that i believe are still around the store.

that necklace is adorable! I was on a long hunt for a three-charmed necklace to gift to my two best friends (and one for myself) and if I didn't just order one from etsy I would be all over that one!

Breton stripes! A classic, and the cut of the Tee looks great on you. You *should* feel a bit French.

Hee hee! I think we have the same skirt! I was totally inspired by your navy Anthro skirt when I bought my Gap one.

By the way, I think you forgot your glasses today...? :-)

Stripes! Yay! They are my fashion addiction. If clothing was heroin, the breton top would be my drug of choice :)

That's a gorgeous outfit! I love the stripes. I owned zero items of clothing with stripes on them until last week; you and Kendi prompted me to go out and buy a striped tee, and now I can't live without it!

Hey Tania! I love the knee socks- it's a great touch! Mostly, I am admiring your ability to stand upright in the snow. I'm from Sydney, Australia, where it never snows. I am currently visiting snowy Berlin, and I can barely walk in the snow! So good on you for having a cute outfit and also keeping your balance!

Would you by any chance consider making book reccomendations or starting a book blog?? You're always talking about how much you read so you'd be a great source for recs.
