Yesterday, I escaped the bitter winds of the midwest and flew to California for the holidays. I'm excited to be where it's warmer (albeit rainier) and to have the chance to scavenge in my mom's and sister's closets to help stretch my extremely small traveling wardrobe. Because I'm heading to Washington for a week after this, I don't want to be weighed down with tons of stuff, so I carefully packed a single carry-on with 12 pieces for 17 days of travel. It's like the 30 for 30, only 12 for 17. And without many posts to document it :)
I'll be popping in and out through the holidays, but my main priority for the next two weeks is cuddling with my sister, playing competitive games of Scrabble with my family, and visiting my best friends in Seattle. You understand, right?

Have fun with your family! Enjoy the warm weather in CA. It's not exactly cold here in the Seattle area but it's rainy and dreary. You'll probably be having too much fun to notice. :)

Merry Christmas!

Of course we understand! :) This outfit is so sweet - I love how it's kind of all casual on top with the shirt and cardi, and then dressier with the pants and wedges! You look gorgeous as always.

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a lovely trip. Are those shoes a recent Target purchase? I love them...I had a pair just like them by Steven that I recently had to retire due to excessive wedge heel wear :(

Oh my gosh, FUN!

I had no idea that you went to undergrad here in Seattle. It's kind of cold these days, but so cool that we'll be in the same city for a few days! :) Have fun!! :)

Have fun on your travels! Good luck with your 12 in 17! :) Those wedges are super cute... I've been eyeing up a pair of Tom's wedges for awhile, but with all the snow here I've put them off for now...

I almost bought those shoes the other day but I don't think this Seattle weather would be too kind to them.

So funny I plan on doing the same thing. I just put that on my blog and then popped over here to read yours and was was like wow! Cool beings.
At least you get to go to California where it may be warm. I can't wait to see what you packed!

Seattle is awfully close to Portland. I know you love Annie...you have to visit sometime and then I will blogstalk you both so I can find you!
We are on a week trip right now, and I was allotted half of a carry case. Lots of remixing!
I don't think any of my outfits will look as cute as this, though.

I love how you expose the undershirt a second time by folding them over to become the cuffs of the outer shirt. It really pulls the outfit together.

This is incredible. It has everything that I love in an outfit - wedges, flannel shirt, and cardigan.
