In retrospect, this outfit was hugely inspired by this one of Kendi's--I love the look of the pulled up socks with a long cardigan and an easy printed dress. The whole look feels cozy and pretty and relaxed. And what better to start off a 30 for 30 than by an homage to its inventor?

This is such a great outfit!! I love the echoing of the gray and brown colors on the backdrop of the red and white polka dot dress! And not only is the dress polka dotted, it has ruffles!! :)

Okay, totally weird question, but I have to ask. I have a very similar thrifted belt. I love it, but it's SO noisy! It makes weird squishing sounds every time I move. I've had to give up wearing it during the week for fear of disturbing the people working around me (I'm also a graduate student). Is yours the same, or is there something specifically wrong with mine?
