On yesterday's post, Laurelann asked if I had a "layering fairy" to help me put together outfits. Friend, only in my dreams. In reality, there is no fairy, but only a routine I follow so often I'm surprised anyone is still here. Add one parts dress with embellishments plus a cardigan, criss-crossed, and secure it all in place with a belt. In case of cold, add tights. I am still bidding adieu to the pieces that aren't in my 30--this polka-dot dress was a particularly hard one to let go. In the end, I was mollified only by the fact that my other polka-dot dress was already in the pile. Yes, one closet and two polka dot dresses. Shame on me!

gaw. all my tights are either gray or black. After this thing is over ... that' the first thing I'm buying! You look super lovely. And I applaud you for letting that baby go ... I probably couldn't do it ;)

I love the idea of wrapping the cardy extra cozy and keeping it tucked with the belt! I am wearing a cardigan and have it tied with the belt it came with. Boring, blah! Running back to my bedroom to swap it now! Thanks for your inspiration!

Hmm, perhaps it my lack of embellished dresses that stops the layering fairy from visiting me... I'll have to remedy that! I love the mix of greens today!

Thanks for linking back to me! You must just be a layering genius, then. This polka dot dress is sheer awesomeness with the greens. (It looks like it's probably pretty wonderful all by itself, too.) Looking forward to 30 for 30!

Aw, you've got me realizing I'll have to say good bye to my clothes soon, too! I've got some bad timing - I'm trying to go through my closet and try things that I haven't worn for whatever reason right before I limit myself down to 30. This was not a logical decision on my part!

I love the green tights!!

I love the green tones on you! And I should have purchased that H&M dress when I had the chance! The ruffly neckline is so pretty peeking out of a cardigan. :)

i love your blog! :) i found it following the chain letter dress from Starr and Beatrice and Little Ocean Annie. It's such a neat idea! I'm looking forward to see how you end up styling it and was wondering how I could become a part of it. :) I'm following your blog now :) Check out my blog, Sometimes Almost Always. I tried on this dress at H&M a month or so ago... I WANTED it but felt the neckline ruffles were too abundant for me. Oh well. I guess we can't all look as adorable as you :)

I LOVE THIS!
It reminds me of a peter pan type world with all the green and cuteness. Makes me feel like a kid again :)
Love, love, love.

It reminds me a little bit of Tinkerbell, but in the best possible way!! Really, really love this look - the light green and the dark green paired together, yet broken up by the white and black polka dot dress and black belt. Love it!!

And why not have two polka dot dresses in your closet - they are so cute on you!! :)

Super cute out! I really want to steal that dress :)
I have half a wardrobe (I share a big wardrobe with my boyfriend who has over 30 t-shirts! Feel my pain as I don't have a lot of room left for my clothes!) but I have four spotty dresses! One of them is one its way out and although I can't yet part with it I've already found a suitable replacement for it! Happy times :D

Well hello back Tania! I'm so sorry I cannot comment as I used to anymore. New job, tons of college stuff to do and the result is: an abandoned blog =/ I hope you forgive my absence. I still come here EVERY DAY to check out what you're wearing and how you are. I got a Twitter account (@laryssetavares) and I'm already following you there ;D

So, I've got to agree with Justine, you're so Tinker Bell on this outfit! I love green as you may know, and I'm in love with your cardi and tights!

Have a fantabulous weekend dear! Lots and lots of hugs and kisses! Take care ;)
