(The checkered shirt was a birthday present from my parents; everything else you've seen before :)

(The striped sweater is new; and I used a gift certificate from my grandparents to get the orange and beige sweaters; stealing a sweater from a friend was an accident, I swear)

(Obviously, my loft dress made it into another 30 for 30)

(yes, this was a last minute addition thanks to tastymoog's suggestion)
I learned from last time and only picked things I really love, in a mix of colors that will all go together. I also chose fewer shoes, because I found that mattered less in round one. And I added more cardigans than most people will because it's getting really chilly here! Accessories don't count, so I'll be wearing all the tights, necklaces, and scarves that I want. And because I rarely photograph my coats, I'm not including those either--if it's cheating, then I don't want to play fair.

A final confession: I'm not batting an eye at 5-6 weeks without shopping but I'm a little nervous about flexing my remixing skills amongst the best of the best, so I need lots of moral support to make it through--here's to 30 days of strengthening my creative muscles!

good luck with this! you always look so adorable anyway so i'm sure this won't be too hard for you ;)
It seems like a great selection. They complement each other and I'm sure you'll mix them well.
I'm doing the remix for the first time so any advice is well appreciated.
whew! What a relief! Going from what you learned the last time, I think I'll be OK :) GREAT selection! All of em! SO CUTE! I can't wait to see all your outfits! So I'll give you my best:
Moral Support! Moral Support! Moral Support! rah! rah! rah!
I'm excited to follow along. I'm seeing other people posting their 30 for 30 and kind of second-guessing opting out this round. . . it looks fun!

You can do it, I know you're creative (since I've been lurking your blog for a long time now)! Also, playing fair is for losers; I know I don't do it. Kidding! Maybe.
I look forward to seeing what you'll come up with! These seem like really good picks. I included the gray version of that yellow J.Crew skirt in my 30...such a versatile choice! My items will be posted tomorrow. Swing by BestFootForward and check them out :)
I'm a first-time remixer so lots of moral support from my side coming your way!
Think what you picked looks really promising.
Here we go...!
You will look great in everything I'm sure. This is such a neat concept! I might just do this the next time!

Great pieces! I'm can't wait to see your remixing. I'm actually not as worried about the remixing as I thought I might be the last time this came around and I passed on it... but we'll see when we get 20 days in if I still feel so optimistic!
fab items! love the new striped sweater... excited to see that one. and all the cardigans, of course :)
you can do it!
I'm excited to see you mix these up and turn them into fabulously stylish looks!!
Yay for 30 for 30.
Leaving the House in THIS?!?!
I'm actually kind of excited about not shopping for 30 days. I have even thought about extending the shopping ban until Christmas. I have so many things that I don't appreciate in my closet, haha. I think it helps that there are so many people participating though - moral support rocks! =)
Awesome pieces! I like how you addressed which pieces were new -- I've got a few that I haven't worn yet and I want to challenge myself to remix them.
I like the colors you included, I'm excited to see your outfits!
Hello there! great items. I too am participating in the remix challenge and I am SCARED! but it will be fun, and nerve wracking :)
Great picks! I am still working on mine. I'm having such a hard time deciding, because I've never done anything like this before. I LOVE that J Crew skirt. I love it every time you wear it. I wish it came in my size.
oh, i LOVE the orange checkered top! SO CUTE. i'm posting my 30 soon...exciting!
Fantastic picks! I am still feeling a little uncertain as to if I made the right decision about a couple of my items.... We can give each other remixed moral support!
Good picks! Can't wait to see !

Good luck! Cheering for you from over here. And I love that pumpkin checked top!
This is my first time doing the remix, I totally took your advice and tried to use like colors, and eliminate the shoes-- I think it will help! Thanks!
Yay! I am so excited to see your remixing. The pieces you picked out look great - classy, stylish and a nice mix between basics and embellishments! I am participating this time round (so excited about that also!) and know I will be inspired by you. Your blog is awesome, Tania! :)
neat stuff.
Great choices, Tania! I'm doing laundry now to finalize my items, too.
I am doing the challenge as well and was worried about having to take a photo of each item on a hanger, dreading it! But I will follow your example and do them by category. Merci beaucoup!
You make it look so easy! I've chosen about 15 of my items, but I still have half to go. Can't wait to see what looks you come up with :)
you really should have less flats and more heels. I find heels go with way more things and bring way more outfits together.
hey anonymous bossypants,
flats are way more comfortable! YOU wear heels as much as you please but i plan on spending the first month of winter wearing the shoes i want :)
I think you're going to do a great job! Honestly, you're one of my favorite fashion bloggers.
I'm just finalizing my picks now and I just decided not to include any heels. Heels hurt me and aren't nearly as comfortable for me.
I'm with you on the flats here :-)
aw... if i were you i would have UPPED the challenge by not including the loft dress ... you are going to do fabulous! no sweat!
You'll do great! Can't wait to see all your outfits.
good luck! so excited to see what you come up with:)

You've got my support, you know that! :) You'll do amazing. And if you need help, I've got cookies! (I'm still trying to figure out how to send them to you, LOL!)
I can't wait to see the outfits you remix! :)

I knew your favorite LOFT dress would be in the mix! :) I love your J. Crew skirt!
Just Better Together
That checked shirt is really lovely. I can't wait for your first outfit!
Great picks! Can't wait to see what you come up with! I'm still narrowing down my selection... :)

Good luck. It seems to me that everyone has more dresses than I do...and I wonder what I'm missing.
Those dresses and tops look kinda thin, I hope you are warm enough!
No blazers? Or does that count as a coat (although usually worn all day)? Hope you don't think I am being a downer, but thought you might appreciate feedback other than "omg cute cardi!" ;)
Meant to add: I'm no stranger to layering, but I would still be freezing with a shirt and tights under the ruche and h&m dresses. :-/
Last time and I'll shaddup: I would really consider adding a blazer. Perfect for grad school and teaching, anyway!
You have a great selection there and I can't wait to see how you mix it all up. Good luck. xx:)
Tania, what a selection! I'm ridiculously excited about that sexy Target skirt, hahaha... yeap gal, you look sexy on it! ;) I'm a hundred per cent sure you and your 'layering fairy' will finish this challenge succesfully! Hahahaha, I'm here to support you! Starting from tomorrow (Monday) I won't miss any of your looks! All the best wishes for ya! Good luck friend!!
Ahh, I'm excited to see you do 30 for 30 again! Fun fun fun. I really like your tops, especially the striped one and the pretty orange one. I'm (sorta kinda) considering a little at-home-only 30 for 30, but does anyone else feel weird about a shopping ban at the start of the holiday season? I find that my closet is a huge beneficiary of holiday season because my attention to buying presents means I find great things for me too :-)
great picks!!! im sure you will nail it, all the support from here!!
Hey, I'm planning on using the navy blue version of that H&M dress in my swap items! I'm kind of confused as to how I'll be able to wear it more than one or two ways. We may need to trade tips, yo. :D

Awesome pieces! I don't think you'll have any problems matching together fun outfits. Cant wait to see them!
So glad I just discovered your blog - I'm your newest follower!
xx
*squeal* I'm so thrilled to see my skirt in your 30 items! totally made my day sweetie!
eeek I just picked all of my clothes and I'm starting to feel nervous about my creative muscles. I'm having the first timer jitters. Let's exchange moral support. I'll start first. Hooray for all of your awesome picks! I'm in love with pretty much every piece.
Loving your choices! And I completely agree, you have to pick only the items you really love, because otherwise you won't have as many options, especially in the last weeks when things get a lot more difficult. Yay, here goes round 2! - Katy
Yay! Love the oranges and yellows in your choices... Can't wait to see how everything comes together!
great selections! i'm thinking i chose too many shoes...
