Thrifting Champion of the World

Thrifting Champion of the World

Thrifting Champion of the World

Thrifting Champion of the World

Works Cited
skirt, belt, shoes, top: thrifted

Skirt: $3. Top: $2. Belt: $0.79. Wedges: $3. Enormous smugness about an outfit that costs less than $9: priceless. The fact that I thrifted everything I'm wearing was actually an accident, I swear. I planned to wear this checkered top with a gray skirt, but seeing it juxtaposed next to the an identical red skirt in my closet made me feel suddenly monochromatically daring. The shoes and belt helped ground the reds, and once I'd put it all together, I realized that I'm wearing 100% thrifted items. I feel like champion of the world (or at least, of Goodwill).

Love it! I never seem to find such practical thrifted items - either way, you look fabulous! Love the monochromatism (may not be a real word) lol.

love the whole outfit, so put together, and can't believe you thrifted all that, and for so little!

I love the cheery colors and the fact that you stepped away from the gray skirt. Yay! I love thrifting but I, too, have a hard time finding practical items sometimes.

You look amazing! I'm super impressed with your thrifting abilities. :) Also, I need to email you. I want to talk about a possible guest post over at my blog. Someone asked me a question yesterday that I'm not sure I can answer, but you might be able to!

Love it all! I'm jealous of your thrifting mojo! And I love the fact that the bright red stop sign just over your shoulder matches your getup! Gorgeous color.

ha, i didn't even see the stop sign earlier--hilarious! (do you think it's telling me to tone down the red?)

Awesome! I think you ARE the thrifting champion of the world! I love the monochromatic look today - you look great in red.

What a steal for all those pieces. You look so lovely, love the monochromatic look!!! I love thrift stores and especially love when the pieces are extremely cheap. I hate when you find a piece you like in thrift stores and it's still pricy, come on it's a thrift store it's not suppose to be pricy!!

What fantastic thrifting finds!

You rock, lady! So glad you went with the red skirt. It is perfection.

This outfit is so cute, I think it's thrifting perfection. The shoes and the shirt give it a bit of cowgirl twist, in the best way possible.

So cute! I love the color red, and this is so well-put together!

I'll echo what everyone else said. You look great and I love that it is all thrifted.

I actually was toying with the idea of organizing a blog "Thrift Week" to celebrate wearing thrifted items, but I don't have a following to get that going. Maybe someday!

I would feel quite smug about such an exceptionally cheap and chic outfit too :) Kudos!

Oooh now I have been inspired to do a combo of my own similar to this. I would have never thought to put the check skirt and red skirt together. Thanks for the inspiration. I'll be sure to post a link whenever I post the resulting outfit.

This outfit really popped out at me. I'm an instant fan. Being fairly monochromatic isn't necessarily a bad thing, and the top looks great unbuttoned at the top and with the collar flattened out, and then the high-waisted skirt. Well done!

That is so cute. Sometimes I'm surprised with what people find thrifting because I can't believe someone else would give it to the goodwill! I really like the length of that skirt. And you look good in red.

Very cute! I love the checkered top, and it doesn't seem over the top matchy matchy with the skirt. I'd love to see some of your other thrifty finds, any tips?

This outfit is fantastic in every single way! The fact that it is all thrifted is just the cherry on top! And I love how you got a stop sign in the background.

I LOVE this look on you. Red is an excellent color on you- and the fact that it was all under $9- even better!

Does the top of the skirt fit like that normally or did you role it down and put the belt around it? If it's a trick, I like it.

Great outfit,it proves that style is not a matter of money.I like the belting of the skirt.

I love how tailored you look. I am always frustrated when I hear how little people pay at the thrift stores. Where I live in Westchester County, NY, even Goodwill is priced high. I could never get any thing for less than $5. Granted it is well organized and there are dressing rooms.

Love it all! That gingham top is especially great!!

Fantastic Tania! I love gingham so much, and red gingham especially. This shirt is fantastic, and the red skirt makes it chic and cool instead of farmer-y. And for only $2! You really are the thrifting champion of the world ;)

I just found your blog and went through the entire thing to catch up. I love your style and how you mix and match from your closet. I shop way too much and then don't wear half of it. I am a Californian moving to a snowy cold place for grad school like you did and your blog and pictures give me inspiration on what I can do with what I have on a limited budget. Thanks! :)

This is one of my favorite outfits of yours btw...the colors are beautiful on you!
