This skirt is from my friend Megan's gorgeous, lovingly-handmade collection (featured also on Kendi Everyday and What I Wore). She deserves all the praise she's been getting, because this skirt is gorgeous, flattering, and has beautiful details like iridescent buttons and sleek pockets. I love wearing a piece with a story--this skirt feels extra special because Megan is my midwestern neighbor, sends me the sweetest emails and comments, and writes the funniest tweets--and I feel like we're a little closer now that I'm wearing a skirt she spent so much time with!

I have been seeing a lot of bloggers talking about her. I really liked the spread Kendi did on her, and I really like your styling of this skirt. The colors add such a pop against the neutral skirt. It's really nice and perfect for fall, but I see that skirt as wearble year-round!

What a great way to wear coloured tights. I love the neutral skirt and boots, and how the coloured top complements but doesn't match the tights!

I'm not a big khaki skirt fan but I will reconsider with this one. I love the buttons down the front.

You know what's genius? The color story you put into this outfit! I LOVE all of it - will definitely be yanking this idea for a future outfit of mine! I'll also definitely be looking into Megan's stuff - a blogging neighbor in the Midwest is a friend of mine, too.
