Ho-Hum

Ho-Hum

Ho-Hum

Works Cited
skirt: shade (up for grabs see below)
tee: j crew
necklaces: don't remember but possibly forever 21 in the early 2000's
belt: j crew
heels: rampage ($5 can you believe it?)

I feel ho-hum about this outfit. It looks a little stuffy, what with the longer (and poufier) skirt, the high neckline, the bun, and the necklaces. And I think all the color I've been wearing has gotten into my head because for the first time, gray feels blah and I am wishing for some COLOR! So because this outfit is not one of my best, I'm going to try to distract you with other, prettier things, like the fall foliage:

Ho-Hum

And a handsome smirking boyfriend riding his bicycle next to me.

Ho-Hum

Endnote: does anyone want this skirt (size small)? I'm not sure it suits me and it deserves a good home. I'll sell it for $15 including shipping. Email me.
Update: skirt has a new home! Thanks :)

I like this outfit a lot! I think you're being too hard on yourself. It gives you a lovely nipped in waist, too.

I think it's cute! Although, I also have a problem with wearing too much grey, so I might be biased.

I like the skirt!! It might be gray but the flowers look really pretty on it!!

You look so elegant with the pearls and hairstyle, I don't think it looks stuffy at all!! And I personally think you look lovely in grey!

I really like this on you. It is uber flattering, and very pretty. I'm not bored even a little bit!~

I think you look pretty darn fabulous. The accessories make your outfit a little more formal than you usually wear, so maybe you're feeling out of your comfort zone because of that, but you really do look awesome. I love it!

No, don't get rid of the skirt! I think this is actually one of my favorite outfits that you've put together. I'm not sure if that means my style is stuffy but I really like this!

Keep the skirt, it looks wonderful on you, really! I like this outfit; it looks like you meant it to look that way and the necklace and belt really liven it up. I love it!

I don't think this outfit looks stuffy - it may have a lot of conservative elements, but your face is so fresh, it makes everything pretty ...(I may put the hair down just for more balance.)

Longer, poufier skirts are my favorite, so now you're making me self-conscious ;) I think you styled it great, classic yet modestly trendy, but I'm glad the skirt will go somewhere it's truly loved!

Cute outfit Tania! I like the black, white, and gray with the neutral accessories! And that foliage is sooo pretty - Virginia is turning colors like crazy now too. It's so gorgeous, yet sad because it means winter is right around the corner, boo.

I don't think you look stuffy at all! I'm loving that skirt and CAN NOT believe you got those shoes for $5. Ridiculous!

Your BF is one hot tamale lady.

Oh my goodness the tress are beautiful! We don't have Fall colors like that down in Texas. Everything just turns brown. Then falls. So there is falling, but it is all brown. And sad.

But your pictures are happy! And make me want to move to New England where I can experience 4 seasons.

I love these shoes with the big elastic strap, for some reason they remind me of my child and also are just sooo cute. You look great as always!

I really love this outfit and don't think it's stuffy at all! The skirt isn't too long at all - I think it looks great. Also, even though the tee has a high neckline, it's fitted so it balances out.

I love the grays/black/white outfit against the bright vibrant orange-yellow trees.

I LIKE this look! I thought the beige paired with the black/white pattern and the grey tee was interesting.

I think that the skirt looks great on you, but I'm sure it will look great on its new owner too.

thank you so much! @upatreecupatea--so right you are! i was teaching a big class that day so wanted to feel extra grown up!

Oh I adore this look - the necklaces are the perfect finishing touch, and I love the silhouette and print of that skirt. You're smart, though, to pass along things that aren't working for you - makes room for something new that hopefully will!

I happened to do an outfit post with this same skirt. I am currently ignoring my blog right now because I'm trying to get my thesis done asap. I do love getting dressed every day and wish I was better at documenting it. I think it's so fun to see how styles evolve. We may have different styles, but I just thought you'd like to see my take on it. I like yours and just may try it out sometime. Happy blogging!

I think you look super cute! Maybe next time wear bright shoes. That always makes my outfits happier!

Emily Kennedy said...

What?! This is supercute! It makes your top half look all freakishly tiny. Cute cute cute.

If you did want to change it up, I am just imagining how adorable magenta shoes, belt and necklace would be, rather than the neutrals. Why magenta? I have no idea, I just think it would be pretty awesome.

I never say weird runway-related things like this but...this outfit is so completely Louis Vuitton this fall. I love it. But I know what you mean...I can never do a high neck and long skirt at the same time. Drives me nuts.

Woah! Your "ho-hum" outfit is kind of the most awesome thing ever. I love the necklace!
