To celebrate the start of October, Christopher and I went apple-picking on Friday. I was super-excited because I'm a city slicker and have never been apple-picking.

I wanted to be able to climb the trees (who knew you don't have to climb them to get the apples?) so I wore jeans and comfy flats.

Future slice of apple pie.

Even though I dressed in autumnal colors, this isn't really an outfit post (and not only because I got dressed to climb trees rather than to look cute). It's an overwhelming-happiness-that-my-favorite-month-is-here post! I luurrve October! Any other October lovers out there? xo

Yes I love October too! It's my birthday month but I love Halloween too.
oh my gosh that's awesome!! I want to go apple picking too!
It looks like you had fun! Did you know that you can make applesauce (or cider) from the wind-fallen apples you find on the ground?
I'm a November fan myself, but your Octoberlove is contagious :) Super cute pics & picks - looks like you guys had a great time and came home with some winners!
Aww Tania, how beautiful! I love these photos :) The apples you picked look so tasty. You and Chris are such a cute couple! I would love to go apple-picking someday! =) Have a great October dear <3
That seems like fun... and October is my favorite month too. And September, really. I LOVE fall before it gets too cold. :)

I am another October baby and fan of Halloween, so of course October is my favorite month. Autumn is also my favorite season, and by October it is in full swing. I also love Oktoberfest, and even though I don't like beer, I do love pretzels and sauerkraut!
I just enjoyed a delicious apple, from the farmer's market. My issue is, we have a bag of about 10 more and with just the two of us, I'm not sure how we'll finish them. If you do any apple recipes with you haul, would you mind posting them?
Also, your Christopher is looking mighty fly. I need to get my Christopher out in the sunshine.
I'm partial to May myself (its my birth month!), but October is a close second. I can't wait to do fun Fall things like going to the pumpkin patch and decorating for Halloween!
You're looking so cute and ready for fall! I, too, love October, (thought it's probably not my favorite), but I'm missing it this year since I've just moved to Florida and it's still in the high 80s every day. :-( I crave the constantly changeing seasons! Anyway, glad you had fun picking apples. I want to make applesauce, now!
Love this! It doesn't even have to be an outfit post!
Just Better Together
Oh, my goodness. You and Christopher are so adorable!! I know it's a fashion blog but (I don't think I'm alone in this...) I would love to see more pics of you two :)
CLOTHED MUCH, a modest fashion blog
Cute! Looks like you had fun! I love October too, fall is such a great season :)
Check out my blog: Principessa Gabriella
I would like October too if we didn't have 50 degrees here in Estonia.. So I'm more of a September person :)
Oh how FUN! I've never been apple picking either! Who knew the tress are not that tall? Your outfit is apple-picking perfection!

Yay! I am preparing for a road trip to go apple picking myself today. I love the cute autumnal colors you chose for your outing.
Looks & Books
Me too! Me too! I love love love October and have been absurdly happy since fall started. I really like your outfit! The red and orange tops together look great. But where is your belt, lady? ;-)
Happy October, Tania.
Fun! You look like you're having a blast! I went cherry picking this summer and that was super fun (albeit hot). My love for October is relatively new found. I used to not care for it (L.A. doesn't have much of a fall, to be fair), but my fiance's birthday is in October and he's a HUGE pumpkin carving fiend, so I guess his spirit has rubbed off on me.
Happy October!

October is a great month! The start of fall without all the holiday insanity of November and December :) PS - I've always wanted to go apple picking!
It's pretty impressive that even when you get dressed to be comfortable you look cute.
I agree that October is a fantastic month. So, so, so many reasons to get excited... fall clothes, leaves changing, apple cider.
What a cute bunch of pictures! I love apple picking in the Fall, it's the perfect autumnal activity. I hope you enjoyed that apple pie, lovely!
I love October - we went apple picking this weekend too! Perfect day, 50's half cloudy - the most perfect weather for apple and pumpkin picking.
October is a good month in the Phoenix area, the high temps finally drop into the double digits. After 6 years here I really miss a true fall, with orange leaves, frost, and apple-picking. In the meantime, I'm off to enjoy the 100 degree sunshine at the pool...
Definitely am an October fan! :) Yay for apple picking and all things Fall!
Cuuuuuuuuuute! I went on my annual apple-picking trip with my special needs buddy on Thursday and it was so fun (and they had apple-cider donuts - my fave!) I love October too, our fall is so short in the Midwest so I have to appreciate it while it's here!
I absolutely agree! October is a great month and I'm thrilled to bring out my sweaters! And apple picking is one of the best parts of fall :)
Yes. I love love love Autumn, and October is just the perfect mix of not rainy winter yet, but cooler than summer. It's been beautiful so far here in Portland. Happy apple-stuff making! :)
I can't wait to go apple picking!
By the way, if you have a few leftover apples, I made this apple cake last week and it was amazing: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/09/moms-apple-cake/
Have you never picked an apple from a tree before? :D It sounds so strange for me, I mean I almost can't believe it. :D
it's true! i'd never gone apple picking before! (i've picked other things, like blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries, but never fruit from trees...it was thrilling!)
I have no idea where do pineapples grow, so I guess if I'll tell that to a person who has actually picked pineapples in the past, he's going to be wowed too. lol Sure it was thrilling. Hope apples were delicious. :)
Beautiful days here! Is that Curtis Orchard? I need to pay them a visit.
