Sometimes when I'm in my closet in the morning, I have to actively resist my vanilla streak. This dress, for instance, always makes me reach for navy or teal sweaters, but I forced myself to be a daredevil and tried it with mustard and chartreuse (you only live once). As it turned out, the mustard was a real winner but it was too warm for it. So chartreuse it was!--and I found that I loved the un-matchy combination so much that I even wore totally different-colored belt and shoes, even though they were the same ones I wore the day before. This, my friends, is living on the edge.

Chartreuse is one of my favorite colors because I love to say it! I love the difference of it against your blue dress! Styling!
I love your skirt, it's so pretty!! It looks great paired with the amazing colour of your cardigan too!

Unexpected but super cute! I bet mustard would look great too, I hope we get to see it on you when it gets a bit colder out.
Love that color combo on you. Adding the chartreuse makes the teal look even brighter.
I love this! You look majorly fab. Well done indeed.
yay, i'm glad you went for some brights, it looks great!
I think it's funny you say that this outfit is un-matchy, because it all looks perfectly matched to me! My rule, anything on the same side of the color wheel matches! So color stories it is! I think this outfit looks great on you!
I really like how these colors look together...good choice! I also love your backdrop for these pictures. Very cool!
Glad you branched out - this entire ensemble simply SINGS!
You should resist your vanilla side streak more often because this outfit is wonderful on you - I love the color combo!
i really like this dress with this sweater. The colors look very vibrant. I love this color combination!

I love this!! I never would have thought to wear those colours together!! (I too tend to reach for the blue when I wear a dress like that)
I love the color combo...and I think that dress is super-flattering! The length is perfect :)
Love love this whole outfit! The two items from UO are just so adorable and pretty.
Life on the edge looks pretty on you!
I love that dress with the chartreuse. I have a vanilla streak too, and my default is usually a black or gray cardigan.
Sometimes you just have to fly by the seat of your pants (or in this case, skirt) :)
I think that makes a great visual contrast and combination.
I've been trying to mix up colors a bit more lately as well, and it's been nice to find that some rather non-traditional color combinations actually look quite good together.
thank you! goodness, maybe i should be a daredevil more often? :)
You should definitely be a daredevil more often! I have the same problem, always reaching for the same color combinations and styles. You've definitely given me a dose of inspiration for the day! :)
This looks so good!! love the color combination :) i feel like the dress would also look good with your lemon cardigan/sweater thing? And i commend you for living on the wild side, we all gotta do it to actually live a life worth living ;)
I love that color combination. I'm going to have to try following your example with being more of a "daredevil!"

I saw the title for this on my feed and my immediate reaction was "I like superheroes, too!"
Silly me. But you look great!
i love your outfit! sometimes the most unexpected color combinations make for the best color combinations :)
I think the chartreuse is awesome! I know what you mean about feeling risky when you put things together that don't "match." I'm always nervous to break out of the color box, but look at what beautiful things happen when you do. You look so comfortable and I really love it with the belt!

Being a daredevil works for you!! I love this combination - chartreuse is an amazing color anytime, but it looks especially great with that blue, and the belt is a perfect final touch.
