Comfort Clothes

Today I am feeling very under the weather, but Christopher and I have un-cancellable dinner plans so I forced myself to crawl out of bed, take a shower and get dressed. And all I wanted to wear were comfort clothes--so of course I turned to my favorite ever dress. In cases like this, I never want to wear jeans--they are too constricting!--so it's always a jersey dress.

Comfort Clothes

I'm not getting any awards for creativity with this one, but like Elaine says, it's all about the little details that make an outfit new and different. Plus, I'm feeling pretty proud of myself just for having clean hair and being in a vertical position. And if I'm feeling optimistic, maybe I don't even look like I spent all day napping and feeling sorry for myself :)

Sad to hear you're under the weather. Will send lots of tea, soup and Audrey Hepburn movies stat.

I wore a grey jersey dress and purple shoes (mine were heels, but still) on Sunday. Love the pop of color!

I like the layering of the jumper over the shirt with the scarf. Layering is one of my favorite parts of fall fashion.

You look beautiful, friend. I don't know how you do it, but you still look as gorgeous as ever, even when you are sick.

Feel better! Sending virtual mugs of tea your way!

Love the scarf with the "comfort" clothes :) The shoes also add that touch of creativity that you always have! Such a cute, comfy look! Would wear it in a heartbeat!

I share the anti-jeans sentiment. They're never as comfy as something like this dress. You look great here- so cozy but still put together. And the flats give the look a nice bit of kick. So cute!

Oh you poor thing, hope you're feeling better now. You look lovely! Can't beat a jersey dress for slouchy, comfy, style, can you? The shoes and scarf add just the perfect touches.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well but take some comfort in the fact that you still look fabulous! I love the dress, long-sleeved tee, and flats look. It's a great transitional outfit and I really think the scarf and cheerfully colored shoes really liven it up. Kudos to you for getting up and at 'em.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I've been under the weather all week, and it's so hard to pull yourself out of that funk when you're feeling run down!

I love your cozy jersey outfit, though. Makes me want to hug you (though probably better that I don't, so we don't share germs). :)
