Blue Collar Copycat

Last week was an off-week when it came to getting dressed and not surprisingly, I also felt down in the dumps. So this week I am trying extra-hard to dress cheerfully and feel put-together because I think it will help me feel more mentally composed, too.

Blue Collar Copycat
(oh, shades of gray, be still my heart)

Today I am unabashedly copying Kyla of Blue Collar Catwalk, on whom I have a huge girl-crush. I saw her wearing this awesome lace skirt with a long cardigan. I snapped up a version of the skirt for myself ($8, woohoo) and paired it with other ocean-hued neutrals and a long cardigan. All I'm missing are some sweet glasses and badass confidence.

P.S. If you want to waste some time today, Katy Rose published an interview with me here; if you like, you can vote for my entry in a Talbots contest here (I don't think I stand a chance against Dip-Tea who has about 10 times as many votes as me, but it's worth a shot!).

I love your skirt, what a bargain too, and it looks lovely with the belt, and colour scheme of your outfit!

I love this color scheme!! Light blues and greys are so pretty. I too almost got that skirt after seeing Kyla in it, but went with an awesome zebra-striped skirt and denim shirt that I found instead :).

I love the color of the shirt, it is really striking. The shape of everything with the cardigan over is very nice as well - great outfit!

I love those colours and the necklace...it's all so calming. I love it. I fear I may have to steal your colour scheme.

You have lots of confidence...just for having this blog alone.

Tania, this outfit is absolutely wonderful. I love the combination of soft heathery greys and blues together....it provides the lace of the skirt with a wonderful soft and romantic backdrop without being overtly frilly or girly. And sigh, I am going to my Target today to hunt down that skirt myself!

Oh, I have been so inspired by Kyla lately. There's hardly an outfit she's worn that I haven't wanted to recreate!

Same goes for you, in fact, and I love your take on this look!!

I have recently been obsessed with lace. Unfortunately, plus size designers have not caught on and I am still trying to find a lace skirt that fits. This is beautiful! It's elegant but not overstated. I love it!
