Twenty-Four

Twenty-Four

Works Cited
shirt: thrifted
shorts: thrifted, DIY
tank: f21 (my sister's hand-me-up)
birkenstocks: YES

These photos were a serious struggle. I probably took 80 of them, and only one turned out okay. The light was all wrong; my hair was all sweaty; I fear I look a bit like a tablecloth, but hey! not every outfit is perfect, right? And in the end, I wasn't naked, so this one did its job.

Awww! I love this! It's adorably Americana! And not in an annoying way, if that makes any shred of sense.

I love your last comment: "I wasn't naked, so this one did its job."

That made me giggle.

I think you look adorable. The shirt is very sweet, you don't look like a tablecloth. You look like the girl next door.

i'm also a grad student and feel like there's no way to really be stylish (budget wise, audience wise, etc). you've been an inspiration!

Sweet darling! I loved the red+white+blue combo, I always do. I understand howyou feel about taking several pictures and just pick one for the blog, we get tired and frustrated. This one is gorgeous, you look bright!

A big bear hug!

I love the gingham checks! I hear ya about picking a good shot - modeling is harder than it looks ;)

I like it too. Maybe you aren't cat-walk ready but you definitely look cute. Way better than sweat pants. And every woman, I don't care who you are, sometimes just needs to be able to be casual, carefree but still cute!

I think you look great! I totally know the feeling of taking a million photos and not one of them turning out... frustrating. But seriously, you look darling (as usual).

I love that you posted your outfit even though you didn't feel it was your best. I'm definitely guilty of taking my blog way too seriously sometimes, and I think it's great that instead of editing yourself, you posted the photo anyway.

That said, I think you look adorable! This is a classic summer outfit, and you look so friendly and happy. :)

Aw, I love this! I'm glad you got one to post, since this lovely casual americana look is definitely one to be seen!

Aw, this is such a cute, casual look! And Birkenstocks! I wanted a pair of them SO badly when I was in high school!! My slightly younger self is jealous of you right now! :D

I love your tablecloth shirt! And I love that you thrifted it--that totally makes it vintage, as far as I'm concerned.

Happy weekend, lady!

This outfit just epitomizes summer to me...the colors, the lightness, and the updo! LOVE it!

Hehe, yes it did do the job. I had a few blah photos/outfits during the challenge that under normal circumstances I wouldn't post, but I was like, must get through the challenge. :)

Fia said...

btw, don't take that the wrong way to mean that I think the outfit *you* are wearing is blah.

I hate those days when the pictures just won't work. I test my marriage and ask Matt to take more and more...

oh, you look fine. and that shirt does NOT look like a tablecloth. it is the cutest thing!

Ha, not like a table cloth at all. Very summery fresh! I almost bought a whole dress like that shirt from Salvation Army, but left it behind due to the polyester lining.

Oh my, I'm awful still at taking pictures, so my pictures always take at least a half and hour, and I usually get one good one. Bleh, I feel your pain. On that note, I don't think you look like a tablecloth. Gingham is IN.

Hope you're having fun on vacay!
