30 for 30 Roundup

Thanks for sticking with me during the 30 for 30! Here's a round-up of all the outfits and some of my thoughts on the challenge at the end. As for favorites: I love 10-14 especially, but you can tell I started to lose steam between 21-24 :)

1-4

5-8

9-12

13-16

17-20

21-24

25-28

29-30

If I were to do this again, there are a few things I'd do differently. For one, there's a skirt that didn't even make it into the 30 for 30, because it's my "going out" skirt and it's too short for everyday working wear, so it never even made it on the blog. Secondly, what was I thinking adding black pants for a July remix challenge? So next time, I will definitely choose pieces a bit more wisely.

It was also a great exercise to do while I was moving and trying to cull my possessions. Once I realized how many outfits I can make from my favorite pieces, it made it easy to weed out items that aren't pulling their weight in my closet. And it was a relief not to shop at all--one less thing to think about and extra motivation for me to be creative what I already have. I felt like I could make nearly endless outfits with 30 pieces, so now that I can let loose in the rest of my closet, I feel like I don't need to buy anything else until I wear and remix the heck out of the rest of my clothes.

Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement, Kendi! May my remix skills one day reach the ingenuity of yours :)

Haha, still. This was very cool and really gutsy of you. I could never do this. Not yet anyway. :)

Congratulations for doing this! I don't think I could at the moment, though I'm trying to get there. My favourites are 8 and 24, so I'm shocked you thought you were running out of steam!

I love seeing what different outfits you put together. Some of my clothes are similar to yours, so I'll be stealing some ideas but they'll have to be saved until some warm weather rolls around here. =]

I love 2, 7, and 12. It's that yellow skirt--it just slays me! I would never even think to purchase a yellow skirt because it's so bold, but you wear it well. And that striped shirt! I used to have a bunch of striped shirts, but I wore them so much that they lost their stretch. I need to a new one :-) xo

Adore your blog. I've seen it on some blogrolls, but today is my first time checking it out! You're fricking adorable! I wanted to do this 30 for 30 challenge but was traveling this month and didn't think it would be feasible, but you really rocked it out, girl.

Stop by my blog if you have a chance, I'd love to hear from you! Will be a follower henceforth.

Love every single one of your outfit! I loved the way you have used yellow and red among all those blues. I think of all the 30 of 30 participants you are my favorite, just because your outfits are so wearable, I know I will wear them everyday! Congratulations dear!

6, 16 and 28 are my favorites. But they were all really good efforts! It's always interesting to watch you guys do these challenges but I have no desire to try it myself. I just don't think I have the skills!

Go you! Numbers 5 and 27 are my favorites. I like that you've called your shopping hiatus a "relief." I sometimes find that the things I *think* are prompting my creativity actually restrict it. Taking a break can be so liberating. Congratulations!

You have totally inspired me! I've spent the past few weeks wondering what I can do to clear out my closet (and my mind!) of pieces I am so attached to but don't wear very often and I think you've offered the perfect solution! I'm going to go through my closet and chose my 30 favorite pieces and build my wardrobe from there by filling in any missing gaps. p.s. love your blog!
