I had an awesome weekend visiting my college roommate in Ohio. We picked blackberries, made homemade jam, and took walks in the woods.

If I were 30 for 30 veteran like Kendi, I might have been wise enough not to include a pair of black pants in a July remixing challenge. But because the pants are in my closet, I'll make them work for summer, with a top that I love and some summery wedges. And happily, they have lots of stretch in them, so I can spend the morning cleaning and packing and still look put together for an afternoon of student meetings.

Stretchy pants are the best. Bought one is Khaki yesterday. Your outfit looks really comfortable and pretty too.
Adorable! I think you look very summery, in spite of black pants. I didn't even notice you had them rolled until you mentioned it!
That top is so fun! This outfit does look very summery because of the sleeveless top and cropped pants. Those shoes are great too! They look super comfy!
You're almost there friend. I love your top, every time you wear it I fall in love again (I can say the same thing about your wedges). Although the pants weren't the best choice for the hot weather they are rocking today! Yay for your cook gifts, haha. I know how to prepare mango ang guava jam (it's kinda easy, don't tell anyone) :P
Still on the skirt: everybody is loving it, I am getting thousands of compliments on it and when I say you made it by yourself and sent it to me, people say you are cute. What am I supposed to say? THANK YOU! =D
I almost said that you ARE brave for doing black pants in July, but I'm the silly girl who wears jeans at least 3 days a week all summer, so who am I to talk?
The print is so bright and fun!

Still in love with that top - so vibrant! And it looks marvelous with the black pants, even if they are your 30 for 30 misfit item.
Such a lovely outfit. Specially the top is so comfy, charming and cheerful.
Pretty pretty top!
Whether summer or winter, I think black bottoms always have a place - you paired them perfectly in this outfit, it's still casual and summery.

This outfit is great! The black pants really work against the vibrant colors of the top. And I love the shoes, of course.
Homemade jam=yum!
nothing about this is nerdy! so chic!
I agree with everyone else re the top - it's great. I am most jealous of those Clarks (again). I am going to email petition them to make a vegan pair for me!
I love that top....such a great pattern, it definitely "summerfies" black pants.
I also only picked on pair of pants for the 30 and have only worn them once
Those wedges have been sitting in my Zappos cart for a month... they are adorable on you! Guess that's a sign that I better purchase soon.
And I LOVE the print of that top!
Love that top with the pants! I also didn't notice that they were rolled up, just thought they were cute cropped pants. You look dressed for success!
