Guest Post: Cycle Chic at Simply Bike

Bicycles

Hi! This morning I am guest posting at Simply Bike, the incredible new site by S. of Academichic fame. S. rides the cutest Electra Cruiser, takes the prettiest pictures, and shares my love of Portland.

Here is my guest post; here is Simply Bike; and here is how excited I am that she asked me.

So fun! I love your post! I ride an Electra cruiser, too. :) (It's in my little picture over there <----) I love my bike - this is the third summer I've had it. I ride it all over on the weekends dressed up in all kinds of dresses and skirts. I'm super thankful for my fenders - they protect my outfits when I ride through puddles. :)

I wore the most perfect dress for bike riding, the hem ended just under the knee, but the back of the skirt got caught along the back wheel as I was biking and now there's a tread mark on the inside of the skirt. Any ideas on how to avoid this? Loved the post, and the link to Daddy Likey :P

Tania, I was out doing Ragbrai all day yesterday so I didn't get to check in with my computer all day, but just wanted to say thank you again for the awesome post! I loved featuring you and am so excited to share your tips with my readers (who also seemed to love your post!) Thank you! S.

This is your mother, and I was particularly pleased to see comment number 5--"A fabulous helmet (and a smile) Because staying alive will always be in style." So proud to have a daughter who wears a helmet.
