Christopher is away at a conference this week, so I've been left to my own photographic devices, which often leaves me in my usual spot (the porch). This morning I decided to be daring and dragged my tripod to a shady, pretty tree. After some trial and error, I took what I thought were a series of excellent photos. Feeling very smug, I loaded them only to realize there was a branch protruding into every single shot!

Five

So back to the porch I went. I can't wait till Christopher gets back (and not just because my photos will be better)! Hope you have a terrific weekend.

Aww, oh no!! But I know the feeling. Tripod photos are stupidly difficult to take. I love this top on you. It looks like this project is going to be a huge success for you, girl.

Totally cute! Can you ride your bike in that skirt? I have one that is similar and I never wear it to work because I'm afraid I might not be able to ride in it.

Cute outfit! I love the effect of the belted, blousy, patterned top over the tailored white skirt. A great mix of contrasts!

I hear you on the self-photography thing. Some bloggers do an amazing job, but I find it's so much easier to have a real live human being behind the camera. And missing one's honey is never fun.

I know how you feel, guy. I took a bunch yesterday, came back in, and every single one was a blink. Every. single. one.

All's well that ends well, though! That top is beauteous.

i love how you belted this top! that sea foamy color is perfect on you. :)
self-portraits are always a pain, haha. i get so hot running back and forth between my spot and my camera that i'm drenched in sweat by the end of the shoot.

I love the bright color and fun print in that top, and belting it with a skinny belt is a wonderful way to wear it.

I've been wanting to sew a blouse like that you are using, with lace on top. But my machine is broken. And I do not know if it would work too! But it's such a beautiful blouse .. I love!

I am loving the white skirt with the bright colors. I actually do not have a white skirt at all. I might have to make myself one soon. :)

Your Ruche items are so cute! I like the color of that top mixed with the little belt, just adorable. And every time I see that little toe, I feel so sorry for you.

Also, I jacked your title post for mine today. Forgive me.

I like how wearing the belt over the long shirt brings the waistline back up. Great proportions! I gave that a try this weekend.
