To continue my week of shoes-that-aren't-fashionable-but-keep-a-broken-toe-comfortable, I am wearing my reefs from college. Happily, my toe is feeling much better and I think I'll be able to put it into more regular shoes next week--yay!
This outfit is nothing special, but it was perfect to bike around town and grab a few beers. Ordinarily, I probably wouldn't post something like this but as S. argued a few weeks ago, sometimes style blogging is about the everyday outfits regular people put together. You could call it repetitive, but part of defining one's distinctive style is repeating certain looks or color palettes. So instead of calling this boring, I'm going to call it developing my signature style.
And yes, S. does seem to be my oracle these days. Hope you have a great weekend!

I love that you posted this because it is practical. I literally wear flip flops every single day and change shoes when I take pictures for my blogs 90% of the time. Wearing flip flops is essentially when you live in Florida at it is above 90 degrees everyday!

Reef flip-flops are the best! This is a cute outfit. Even though you felt casual, I think it's adorable.
I think it's good that you post everyday "boring" outfits. That's what most of us wear 90% of the time...but if you lapse into sweatpants posts I'll be a little worried.

It's funny that you mention style blogging as being about style really .. which includes every day wear. My boyfriend and I were just having that discussion last night. Although it's great to see designer pics posted on blogs, I'm really interested in seeing what personal style fellow bloggers have.
I love seeing someone take a Target T and make it look like a million bucks .. I like to think, it's not about what you're wearing but, how you wear it .. and how you feel in it .. :)

I often like the "ho-hum" every day outfits best anyways, as it's easier to gain inspiration and integrate certain elements (read - shamelessly mimic) into one's own wardrobe!
